Serena Williams strikes a pose for the April 2015 edition of US Vogue, shot by the photographer Annie Leibovitz sporting a dress designed by Rag & Bone.
The athlete rocks the publication sans any digital wizardry, baring all without the benefit of editing in a spread which sees her address tennis’ competitive occasionally sinister nature.
She reveals:
It’s hard and lonely at the top. That’s why it’s so fun to have Caroline Wozniacki, and my sister, too. You’re a target when you’re number one. Everyone wants to beat you. Everyone talks behind your back, and you get a lot more criticism. God forbid I lose.
Is the world of tennis just as competitive as the world of Pop?
Ethnic queen
Ummm I love her but don’t really care for this cover. :/ It’ll still sell more than Rihanna’s ( the fashion queen) worst sellers tho. 😀
They did the good sis wrong with that cover.
This cover is Fierce and Powerful, Glad they didnt bleach out her skin like they do so many others…. I wont say any names…
Ciara?
Jesus! She looks like a man! Ooooh, uh uh! They must’ve forgot to Photoshop some feminine features onto her FACE.

She looks better than Mooriah Cowrey b****
idgaf if y’all thumb this down…. this not a flattering cover at all!
I love her, she’s beautiful. I watch tennis, and she’s by far the GREATEST female tennis player ever.
I know everyone wants to say”Yay go Serena” but this cover is a NO! Uh uh, from the lighting to the hair, a no. Made her look VERY masculine
1st things 1st LEGEND!!!!
Right on to this cover. She looks great considering hardly any make up on, her facial dimensions mean front head shots not her most flattering compared to angled shots but defo a softer look and this Tennis Queen Legendary slays her craft.
Awesome cover, true Beauty.
This girl is winning and I’m glad that she isn’t letting critisism get to her. U go girl
I think she looks beautiful on the cover and this is from someone who never paid much attention to her. I see a strong resemblance to Whitney Houston, especially around the eyes and lips. Go ‘head Serena.
