The triumphant yet turbulent life of Michael Jackson is to be honoured with its very own Lifetime biopic.
Full story below…
Named ‘Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland‘, the movie will be told from the eyes of his bodyguard and will see Navi, his biggest impersonator, take on the leading role.
Announced after Sky’s “take” on his life was scrapped, the project will be based on Berry Gordy’s book ‘Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days’ and will be produced by Suzanne DePasse.
The book, which presents the singer in a favourable light, explains this in its blurb:
Michael Jackson’s former bodyguards reveal the amazing truths of the late superstar’s last years ― his life with his children, his financial crises, and the weeks leading up to his shocking death.
Hounded by the tabloid media, Michael Jackson spent his final years moving from city to city, living with his three children in virtual seclusion ― a futile attempt to escape a world that wouldn’t leave him alone. During that time, two men served as the singer’s personal security team: Bill Whitfield, a former cop and veteran of the security profession, and Javon Beard, a brash, untested rookie, both single fathers themselves.
An indispensable piece of pop-culture history, Remember the Time is the story of a man struggling to live a normal life under extraordinary circumstances. It is the book that dismantles the tabloid myths once and for all to give Michael Jackson back his humanity.
Lifetime’s foray into the positive portions of the icon’s life comes after they enjoyed ratings wins with biopics dedicated to Aaliyah, Whitney Houston and before they are expected to do the same with one penned to tell Britney Spears’ story.
A premiere date for Michael’s story is yet to be set.

Oh God… Why can’t they just let the dead be dead. First Aaliyah, then Whitney now MJ. Just so disrespectful and bizarre
I heard they might get a white women to play him ???
That wouldn’t be far fetched. He looked like a very effeminate white female at times.
It’s about honoring the legends, and to tell there stories and in some way to remind the world what greatness really is. I want more of these biopic s. I love them
I’m here for this, If the story is told right, I wanna see more of micheals true personality, he was so kind, so giving and so loving . GREATEST ARTIST OF ALL TIME . He surpassed everyone who came before him and no one who has come after has ever touched what he has done #Legend
This is sad and you know they definitely gonna try to do a Prince film too smfh.
Navi? I met him at the This Is It O2 conference where Jackson appeared and I don’t think he can pull it off. Then again, I suppose this isn’t MJ in his prime but MJ in his later years of which the larger and slower Navi should be able to mimic with credible accuracy.
Interesting. They do just need to let himRest In Peace.
We seen his story plenty of times why remind us.
We won’t never forget him.
I wonder if he was scared when he had that spider crawling on his face.
Eva pigford took the same kind of picture
Gurl you beat me to it!
Top Model Season 3
Bloop!!
Oh Lort *Madea voice*
Lifetime never gets their casting right. I dunno about this y’all?
Maybe they should get Evan Ross but then again he looks too young to play his final moments. Hmmm……..
Lord, I can’t with these microwave biopics smh.
I’m here for it.
If she doesn’t want to get dragged ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA ONCE AGAIN, Wendy Williams better not try to get involved in this movie.
Oh LOOOOORDY! Ready for the lies, terrible acting, and s***** story telling?
I’m not judge it til I see it I hope they get decent actors well we would see
Wow
