Janelle Monae is the definition of multi-dimensional.

Indeed, she routinely juggles her day-job as a eclectic musician with a growing list of movie endeavours. The latest of which is confirmed to be Disney‘s remake of ‘Lady & The Tramp.’

Dive below for details…

Per THR, Monae will take on the role of Peg, the wise-cracking pound dog played in the original animation by Peggy Lee.

Her friend/rumored partner Tessa Thompson will play Lady, while  Justin Theroux appears as Tramp.

The news comes in the same week it was confirmed that Monae has joined the cast of ‘Harriet’ – the hotly anticipated Harriet Tubman biopic.

Having thrilled with the ‘Dirty Computer’ album earlier this year, it’s great to see Janelle getting her thespian on. Especially following her critically acclaimed turn in 2017’s ‘Moonlight.’
