VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ is to welcome its very first gay couple to the family.

The show follows the lives of several characters with personal and professional ties to Hip-Hop and has featured stories fronted by lesbian and bisexual women in the past.
Next season, its producers are to introduce a gay couple who will serve as the very first homosexual men to star in the southern series since its inception.
Production kicked off last week and saw Prince Carter and Zachary Jones introduced to some members of cast as friends of Karlie Redd.
As an African American gay male couple it’s tough as hell in today’s society and there are sooooooooooo many stigmas we’re up against. We are two big personalities who just happens to love each other dearly. With this platform we want to show that love has no face or color. But love is all about treating others with respect. Allowing people to just live their best lives.
A due date for the show’s next cycle is yet to be announced.

I think this is good. 9 time out of 10 any man you meet in Atlanta is G A Y regardless of his race so why not showcase it on the show. ANybody complaining needs to visit ATL or stop living in denial. There are 9 gay men to every 1 straight man in that city so DEAL. If you date a man from ATL u better check his booty hole cause more than likely its been dug out! I strongly disagree. Atlanta is very very very very very G A Y. 90 percent of the men I meet when I visit there are G A Y so any reality show focused on Atlanta should represent the reality of Gaylanta! The reality is that the city is very gay! Notice I said men and not “black men”. That is because, in my opinion, 90 percent of the men in Atlant are G A Y regardless of race. Yes it is the black gay mecca of the USA but 9/10 white, indian, asian, etc men I have met there are GAY too nd nobody talks about that. I think there must be something in the water because I never seen that must sugary men in one city. A bunch of gay bottoms everywhere the second you get off the plane at their airport and everywhere in the city. I do not think ATL is a good place to raise a family because of the high amount of crime, violence, buglaries, extremely bad schools, and uneducated people. Many of the gays and slow people must be oblivious to this because they either do not have families or are seeking a ghetto lifestyle full of drama.

Having them represented on TV doesn’t change that… it just reflects modern society that Lgbtq+ people can live their lives without persecution (of law at least).
