After finding success with its ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ franchise via its original and Atlanta-set spin-off edition, April 2019 brought with it news WeTV was spawning a New York version to help fill out the series’ portfolio.
Set for premiere on August 29, the latest extension of the franchise goes to the birthplace of Hip Hop and chronicles of the lives of the children of some of the genre’s most prominent figures including the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, DJ Kid Capri, music mogul Irv Gotti, and more.
