For those asking Wendy Williams “how you doiiin?,” it seems the answer is…amazing.
Because it’s been announced today that the media maven’s talkshow has been renewed for two more seasons!
Per the announcement, the renewal will keep The Wendy Williams Show on FOX stations during 2021 and 2022 seasons.
A consistent performer, the show has averaged 1.6 million viewers on a daily basis during its 10th season and has been slaying with its key demo of women 25-54.
It speaks to the strength of the Wendy brand, given the tumultuous year she’s recovering from; a year which brought with it global headlines about her husband’s Kevin Hunter‘s infidelity and the end of their 25 year union.
The news was trumpeted in tandem with the season 11 launch of the daytime talker today.
Speaking on the pick-up, Frank Cicha, EVP Programming at Fox Television Stations, said:
“Wendy is family to us, and post-AM news, her program jumpstarts the day in our markets. Plus, she’s got enough wigs to make sure the show never gets stale.”
Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, Co-Presidents of the show’s production company Debmar-Mercury, added:
“Wendy’s enduring demo strength is matched only by its unwavering support among our valued station partners. Fox, which has been there from the start, remains a big believer in the power of Wendy to deliver the goods and keep its important morning news block viewers from going anywhere.”
