Wendy Williams Talks Divorce: “I Don’t Want To Be Changing Pampers…I Want To Be Pampered”

Published: Thursday 5th Sep 2019 by Sam

Wendy Williams has never been one to hold her tongue. And while her marital woes initially saw her skew coy, she’s now speaking up and out.

The talkshow host stopped by The View today and didn’t hold back questioned about her divorce from husband Kevin Hunter.

Clearly emotional, a teary-eyed Wendy opened up about the difficulties attached to ending her 25-year union with her husband – but also the necessity for her to.

As widely reported, Hunter maintained a relationship with another woman and eventually impregnated her.

Speaking candidly with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and co, she said “I don’t want to be changing pampers, I want to be pampered!”

She also didn’t shy away from questions surrounding her addiction and recent stay in a sober house.

Watch the interview below…

Salute to Wendy for doing what she needed to do.

The nature of her job no doubt made being a “hot topic” a trickier predicament than would be the case for most. But she’s handled the situation with an air of dignity and openness that deserves kudos.

This wasn’t about being a selfish mom. She didn’t want to divorce Big Kev b/c . . . she didn’t want to. She probably wouldn’t have if the story had not broken. She’s not the first wife to hush up an affair or side baby. She loves him and is comfortable with him from their decades together.

However, she seems to be in a good space here. It’s probably a relief to not have to overlook Big Kev’s bs anymore, and it probably feels good to just come clean and be at peace with how events are evolving.
