Kanye West announced his plan to run for president against Donald Trump (as we reported here), but the president has remained silent on the matter until now.

In an interview with Fox News‘ Sean Hannity, President Trump opened up about the rapper’s plans to become president and his comments that he no longer supports Trump.
Trump said (via The Hill):
“Well, I like his voice being heard, but he’s always going to be for us, and his wife is going to be for us.”
West recently announced that he was no longer going to wear his red Make America Great Again hat, telling Forbes:
“I am taking the red hat off, with this interview. I would run as a Republican if Trump wasn’t there. I will run as an independent if Trump is there.”
Regardless of the ‘Donda’ rapper’s comments, Trump still thinks he will support him in his reelection campaign, saying:
“He’s a very good guy. He is a person that I get along with very well. At the end I think he would support us over anyone else. But if he does or not, we have to stop the radical left from taking over our country, ripping down our great heroes.”
However, West recently missed important deadlines in regards to his presidential campaign (as we reported here), so the two might have to wait a little longer before squaring off on the campaign trail.
