Nene Leakes has left the house she helped build.
As reported, the outspoken star has officially departed the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ – after negotiations between her team and the show’s producers hit an impasse.
Despite making volcanic comments aimed at all at those at the helm of the hit Bravo show (so much so that rumors of legal action went into overdrive), Leakes pivoted and instead soaked her announcement in gratitude.
Her sentiments have since been echoed by both Bravo and Andy Cohen.

A statement from Bravo read:
“We wish Nene all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for sharing her journey for over a decade with the fans of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ She’s been instrumental since the start and will truly be missed, and maybe one day she’ll hold the peach again.”

Nene’s announcement had an air of finality, more like a final exit than a break.
Whatever, I’m cool with her not being on season 13. Nene had no storyline last season, and all she did was try to work up arguments with Kenya (b/c Nene HAD TO due to not having a compelling storyline of her own).
Bravo edited Nene out of a quarter of last season’s episodes. They clearly wanted her gone, but they didn’t want to kill their chances of EVER getting her back in a future season, so they made her an offer she was never going to take and then refused to budge. There is no way they’ve been negotiating for 3 months.
I think they probably just want to pay her for a pop-through, like she did on the cast trip in season 9. Nene want the full peach status and accompanying salary. There wasn’t any room to negotiate, and there you have it.

Anyway her time was really up. You can’t put your hands on staff, make up lies and refuse to film and expect to stay on the show. It doesn’t matter if she did help build it.
That being said, I really love her shady ass, and Eva will not be there either next season. All that plus C**** sounds like a boring ass season. But I might just peek to see what Porsha’s storyline will be. Other than that, they might need to hang this s*** up after season 13. It’s been on too long at this point anyway and none of the original cast is there anymore. Don’t even try to bring back Kim or any of the original girls without Nene.

It was the walking out and non participation in the last 2 reunions for me. I don’t care how instrumental you are to the show, not participating is not good for viewers. She single handily made the last 2 season cringeworthy to watch. Bye wig!
