Nene Leakes is back-peddling on her “graceful” exit from the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta.’
After rumors of her being fired reached fever-pitch, the reality star stepped forward to announce that she was departing the show – seemingly on her own volition.
At the time, she thanked all involved and appeared zen about closing her ‘Housewives’ chapter.
A move that surprised many given her social media digs and allusion to taking legal action in the weeks and months before.
However, the peace didn’t last long. Because, her latest words have many wondering whether she’s become unhinged.

Granted disparities in the TV arena are a real reality, Nene is not in a position to self-victimise.
The network did not make her try and spit on a castmate. The network did not make her walk off key shoots. The network did not make her liken someone’s child to a buffalo. And the network did not make her castmates not want her around.
To see her unravel like this, after genuinely being such a joy to watch way back when, is sad.
From the lack of self-awareness, to the delusions of grandeur, to the asinine Breonna Taylor remark (which isn’t the first time she’s tried that angle), it’s unfortunate to see Nene go out like this.

This show is based around them disparaging each other so what the hell are you talking about? If that was the reasoning behind her being released none of the real housewives would exist. When you’re on a job for a certain amount of time your aloud to demand more until your a black woman getting a “big head”. No his white ass loved the drama for all these seasons but of course switches it up when it convenient for him. NOTHING has warranted her being fired, she doing the same thing the girls on ALL these shows do except remaining relevant. She got everybody in the world saying “Whew chile the ghetto” and “Why am I in it?”. The firing doesn’t add up at all!
It’s called having ethics and scruples. If Nene Leakes was so invested in uplifting black women and dismantling systematic racism, she should have 1.) never agreed to be on a show like RHOA – or 2.) used her platform (while still a popular highly paid cast member) to promote/represent/inspire change and activism. I didn’t see any of the faux activism UNTIL she was fired.

What the network DID do is play every moment you listed in every preview and season snippet they could for ratings so what the hell are you talking about? Y’all act like this show is the Girl Scouts, these women actively drag each other on this show and that’s the primary reason it’s watched. Don’t act new. Nene is a buffon of great proportion. She was fired for 1) not having a storyline these past few seasons, and 2) for getting physical ON CAMERA with producers (not castmates, PRODUCERS – see closet scene). NeNe has no discrimination lawsuit. And I don’t like Wendy, but she’s right – we dont want to see a solo show from NeNe because it would be BORING!!! She is not the NeNe she was in the beginning, she’s now evil and narcissistic. This is showing one thing and one thing only – NeNe isn’t sure how she’s going to be able to keep up her lifestyle without Bravo checks. Remember the first time she walked away from the show, she allegedly had tax problems, and allegedly had a house with no furniture. And her store just closed in Atlanta I heard (allegedly).
