Per The Hollwood Reporter, the follow-up to the blockbuster 2018 movie will begin shooting in Atlanta in July 2021.
The mammoth production is expected to film for six months.
Uncertainty had clouded ‘Black Panther 2’ following the shocking death of its lead star Chadwick Boseman in August.
As widely reported, the much-loved actor lost his private battle with colon cancer – which he had been valiantly trying to overcome for four years. He was just 43.
Beyond insights into the shoot scheduling, it’s not yet known what creative direction director Ryan Coogler and co will be taking for the film.
It is, however, known that Boseman will not feature by way of a CGI body-double (as has been the case when filmmakers have been faced with similar circumstances). A Marvel exec confirmed as much in a recent interview.
I’m glad they’re not going the cgi route. I think they’re opting for the Batman route (new lead actor).
They should choose Kofi Soriboe for the new lead 😍😍🍫🤤
