The Hollywood titan has revealed that ‘A Madea Homecoming’ will be heading to the streamer in 2022.
Perry, as ever, will serve as writer, director, and executive producer alongside starring in the lead role as the much-loved matriarch.
The movie will be shot in its entirety at Tyler Perry Studios
Confirmation of a 12th Madea film serves as a pivot for Perry, who previously said he’d be retiring the character to embark on new ventures.
That said, with the franchise having generated over $1 Billion at the North American box office alone, it’s little surprise why it’s being tapped into a new. There’s clearly an appetite for it.
