In news just in, comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked while performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The comic was mid-set at the Netflix Is A Joke event when a man rushed to the stage and took him down.
Clearly flustered, Chappelle tried to regain composure after the man was taken away by security. Indeed, he quipped “it was a trans man” – a reference to the controversy that followed his special ‘The Closer.’

The scenes will no doubt drum up a renewed conversation around Will Smith slapping comic Chris Rock at the Oscars after a joke gone wrong.

UPDATE: Multiple sources have confirmed that the attacker was found to have been armed with both a gun and knife. Neither were used during the incident.

My thing is they can’t pin this on Will Smith. If you don’t like particular comedians why even bother to attend their shows ?? Obviously you’re not their target audience so why be there in the first place smh. It makes no sense and has been a thing for years from hackling to threats sadly.
Um, yes they can connect this to Will Smith. That douchebag sent a message to the world that its ok to jump onstage and attack someone just because youre butthurt over a joke. Sorry he doesnt get a pass for this, this is directly a result of his bullsh*t.
Oh! We’re definitely NOT talking about the Will Smith incident once again. That’s DOA!!! These celebrities have paid security. Why they’re NOT involved in these incidents is a mystery.
A gun and a knife? Are there no metal detectors? No security guard pat down? Chapelle is a household name and shouldn’t be performing somewhere without proper security checks smh.
