It was the slap seen around the world.
And five months on, the masses are still talking about Will Smith putting the paws on Chris Rock live on the Oscars 2022 stage. Especially in the wake of the storm that ensued thereafter.
One person who has noticeably been low volume about the matter is Rock himself. A move that has led many to assume a more measured (and perhaps more lucrative address is pending).
In an unexpected play, the comic briefly spoke on the matter while on the tour in the UK this week.
Find out what he had to say below…
Speaking during his joint show with Dave Chappelle at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, Rock reportedly said of the slap:
“Did that sh*t hurt? Goddam right… the motherfucker hit me over a bullsh*t joke. The nicest joke I ever told.”
The 57-year-old’s remarks come on the heels of Smith recently revealing that Rock is “not ready” to speak with him yet.
Chris… no one cares anymore
Not even a little.
They do and he has the right to address being assaulted as he sees fit.
He can continue about being bit^c smacked all he wants, but we have moved on. I feel no sympathy for the man.
Speak for yourself. If he grants an interview tomorrow millions will tune in…. Including yourself
I hardly tuned into the slap, Calyn. I just didn’t care that it happened to him.
But yet here you are the first person in the comment section 🤰🏿🤰🏿🤰🏿🤰🏿💩
