After Saying Jamie Foxx Should Star in His Biopic, Kanye West Slammed the Actor for Allegedly Stealing Concept for ‘Django’

Having already won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the iconic singer’s 2004 eponymous biographical film and currently earning OSCAR buzz for his role as Mike Tyson in the boxing legend’s forthcoming biopic, Jamie Foxx has proven his capabilities time and time again.

For that reason and more, Kanye West – who previously collaborated with Foxx aboard the GRAMMY-winning #1 hit ‘Gold Digger’ (2005) – recently indicated he wanted the actor-comic to bring his life story to the big screen some day.

“My pick is Jamie Foxx,” Ye stated when quizzed. “[He is] one of the greatest genius[es].”

The unexpected pick certainly perked ears as one of few bright spots West has had over the last month as he continues braving backlash for his controversial ‘White Lives Matter’ apparel and anti-Semitic views, the sweet gesture turned sour weeks later when the 45-year-old slammed Jamie for allegedly stealing the concept to the Academy Award-winning film, ‘Django Unchained.’

As reported here, Kanye made headlines earlier this week for an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

When not butting heads with the host, the rapper-mogul dished openly about the ongoing outrage surrounding his anti-Semitic views and more.

An unexpected standout moment from the interaction came when West alleged Quentin Tarantino – the director of 2012’s ‘Django Unchained’ – and Foxx stole the idea for the blockbuster film after it was pitched to them to make the music video for 2005’s ‘Gold Digger’ slavery-themed.

“Tarantino can write a movie about slavery where – actually him and Jamie, they got the idea from me because the idea for ‘Django,’ I pitched to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for ‘Gold Digger,’” West said (as seen here). “And then Tarantino turned it into a film.”

At writing, Quentin nor Jamie have responded to Kanye’s claim.

With over $425 million secured at the box office at the height of its popularity, ‘Django Unchained’ – which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson – is Tarantino’s highest-grossing film.

Oh really Kanye? And we’re you going to turn it into a film? No? So you abandoned the idea in 2004? And so you mad cause somebody took an unfinished idea that never happened and expanded on it? Did you create the idea of slavery too? Like girl stfu
