A spokesperson for ABC News, which helms the show, issued the following statement moments ago:
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
Per reports, the pair’s departure follows a period of negotiation and mediation since the presenters were taken off the air when their workplace romance first hit the newswire.
It’s claimed that the union was of the extramarital variety, with Holmes filing for divorce from his wife of 13 years amidst the chaos.
