After much speculation, Jennifer Hudson and Common have gone public with their relationship.

For months, there have been murmurs about the Chicago-born stars being romantically linked and the duo have even been snapped holding hands.

Today, though, Hudson and Common (born Lonnie Rashid Lynn) took the next step by addressing their status.

51-year-old Common appeared as a guest on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ and the pair playfully described each other when addressing their present relationship.

And while the pair took the more playful route in addressing their union on J. Hud’s show, Common more directly confirmed the fact they are together on Today with Hoda.

Chopping it up with host Hoda Kotb, he said:

“We had a lil’ fun. It was great to be on The Jennifer Hudson Show. I felt like, ‘why not be loving and honest with who I am, who we are. It felt good. It was fun. We had a good time. I’m a person that’s very private. And I know things that are sacred. So, any relationships I have are not for public consumption. But, at the end of the day, we were on her show and we had a good time.”

Elsewhere during the chat, the 3-time GRAMMY winner opened up about marriage.
