Jonathan Majors is ready to tell his side of the story.
Details below…
The actor made headlines last month when his long-awaited domestic assault case resulted in a guilty verdict on two counts.
Facing four misdemeanor counts related to an incident with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, the star was acquitted on the two weightier counts.
Nonetheless, being found legally liable in any capacity led to Majors being dropped almost instantly from his Marvel gig as Kang the Conquer – a role that he had already debuted in the latest ‘Ant-Man’ movie and one that was set to form a central component of several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even before the verdict, Majors was dropped by his management and PR firms and saw his hotly anticipated movie ‘Magazine Dreams’ snatched from release schedules.
Now, after a measured silence, he’ll be turning the volume up on his side of the story in a sit down with ABC News Live ‘Prime’ host Linsey Davis.
Airing Monday, January 8, a segment will run on Good Morning America and the full interview will be broadcast that evening at 7.00 pm. EST.
*******
Suffice it to say, this will be must-see viewing.
As is custom, such interviews more often than not take a direct, hard-line, and arguably no-holds-barred approach to questioning.
So, it will interesting to see how Majors navigates this while also lifting the lid on his side of the story…and attempting to rehabilitate his image/public standing. The latter which no doubt will be one of the central goals in sitting down for such a feature to begin with.
Echoing earlier reports, Majors – who will be sentenced next month – is facing up to a year behind bars.
However, legal analysts weighing up variables including the fact that it’s his first conviction and is a misdemeanor have expressed doubt at the feasibility of a prison term.
The 34-year-old has maintained his innocence and claims to have been the victim in the incident.
We don’t care about this sociopathic asshole
You know him?
He knew not to sit down with Gayle. She would reject every single word he says, regardless of the veracity. One important thing to note is Disney still has a good relationship with Jonathan, because they’re allowing for this interview on their network and they don’t have to. Just one year ago they canceled a Backstreet Boys special over mere allegations. Someone at Disney is impressed with Jonathan and believes in him in spite of having to let him go. I have 100% respect for that person or people.
He did it and will burn.
I hope he and his baby mama burn in HELL
Stop dealing with these white heffaz. I don’t know when these black men are gonna learn.
