After the rockiest of roads, Jussie Smollett has some cause for celebration.

For, the embattled ‘Empire’ actor has completed a multi-month stint in a rehabilitation facility.

As reported, the 41-year-old entered an outpatient center to treat his struggles with addiction.

He has now completed the program after five months and is hoping to get back to his career with the help of new management and a forthcoming film.

While Smollett’s professional goals are known, his freedom continues to hang in limbo.

Smollet was found guilty of lying to police authorities after claiming two masked Trump supporters attacked him while calling him racial and homophobic slurs in 2019. He was sentenced to 150 days behind bars but was sensationally released just days later to mount an appeal.

Recently, he lost said appeal in the long-running legal battle and faces a potential return to prison.

One has to wonder whether the changes he’s making in his personal life will factor into what happens legally. Time will tell.
