Raven-Symoné on Bill Cosby Accusations: "That's His Personal Life"

Raven Symoné has long had a penchant for sharing her views.

However, the multihyphenate has been noticeably quiet about her stance on her ‘Cosby Show’ co-star Bill Cosby and the scandal that saw him jailed for sexual impropriety committed over several years.

That is, until now.

Full story below..

Raven played Olivia Kendall on the show, the stepdaughter of Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonnett), and warmed the hearts of millions for the show’s final three seasons (1989-1992).

Quizzed about Cosby during an appearance on the Hate to Break It To Ya podcast, Raven appeared to want to separate the man from his work and impact.

Speaking on the 88-year-old, she told host Jamie Kennedy, she seemed to express a desire for the problematic corners of Cosby’s story to fetter the discourse surrounding his good deeds professionally.

The 39-year-old said:

“Separate the creator from the creation. And that’s just where I live. The creation changed America. Changed television.”

She continued:

“He has been accused of some horrific things. That does not excuse, but that’s his personal [life].

So personally, keep that there, and then business-wise, know what he did there as well.

Both can live.”

He didn’t do anything they lied on him

He confessed to the bulk of it in his depositions under the agreement that he would never be prosecuted. The prosecutors tried to get around that agreement but in the end his conviction was overturned because of it. He had been promised immunity so the conviction was tossed on appeal. That doesn’t change the fact that he’s guilty mostly by his own admission.

We don’t care. Mr.Cosby is a legend and he’s not getting canceled. Those old white women and one looked like a man… should have come forth a life time ago. Most of us were not even alive 40 years ago when they were claiming (with solid memory) of the events. It’s a big no for me. Go get help this point. No need to tell us about it.

That’s cute Anne but he admitted to giving them drugs that they asked for. He didn’t say he drugged them without their consent. If someone did that and R worded u wouldn’t u go to the cops afterwards?

      • Anne November 10, 2025

He admitted to giving them drugs period, he didn’t directly address whether or not it was by request, with knowledge or with consent. Apparently his lawyers claimed at least two accusers at the time knew they were taking something. Some of them said the willingly drank something before the unexpected effects. Also, some of them DID report it to the police when it occurred. Due to Cosby’s influence these accusations were brushed under the rug for decades. But I realize some people don’t care or somehow still think he’s innocent. Whatever…to each his own.

They deleted my reply for some reason but this is from Google maybe I can edit the reply so tgj won’t delete it this time

In a 2005 sworn deposition for a civil lawsuit, Bill Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaal**** with the intent to give them to young women he wanted to have s** with. He also testified that he gave the sedative to at least one woman before a se**** encounter, stating: “I give her Quaal*****. We then have s**”.
However, Cosby and his legal team maintained that these encounters were consensual and denied that he ever gave women drugs without their knowledge or consent.

What his lawyers maintained after the fact is not the same as what he said in his deposition. They clearly tried to clean things up after the fact.

Another freakin podcast. I wonder did he appear on her podcast

  3. Really November 10, 2025

What is anyone expecting her to say? She wasn’t even 10 years old when she worked with him. I’m sure she knows as much about his personal life as we do.

Meanwhile we have a lunatic in the white house but yet we still wanna try and focus on Cosby, Diddy, and Kelly when Wh!te Men literally do MUCH worse! The crimes committed obviously are horrific but the witch hunt against Black people this country that THEY built are grotesque and sadistic all in the same.
