From the Jackson family to industry heavyweights like Bobby Brown, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Usher, Martin Lawrence, Ron Isley, Magic Johnson, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, and SZA, the red carpet was packed with icons celebrating the King of Pop’s legacy.
In honor of Michael Jackson, Lionsgate hosted the U.S. premiere at the Dolby Theatre, drawing more than 3,300 Michael Jackson fans, while an additional 900 gathered at the TCL Chinese Theatre for overflow viewing.
Jaafar Jackson reflected on the moment, sharing,
“I just hope that my uncle, Michael, is smiling from up above.”

Janet and Paris Jackson were noticeably absent from the LA premiere.
‘The film is already generating strong buzz, with early praise from Missy Elliott, who applauded the cast, saying they “did their thing.”

The film hits theaters nationwide on April 24, with a special one-night-only early access screening giving fans a chance to experience it ahead of its official release.
