Netflix has released an extended trailer for its upcoming political thriller ‘Animals.’ The preview offers a closer look at the high-stakes ordeal facing Kerry Washington and Ben Affleck’s characters as they fight to get their son back.

The film centers on Los Angeles mayoral candidate Mark Kimball (Affleck) and his wife Abigail (Washington). Their world is turned upside down when their son is kidnapped.
Together, they must scramble to raise the ransom needed to secure his return, all while Mark’s carefully orchestrated campaign threatens to collapse under the weight of secrets neither wants exposed.
Rounding out the cast are Gillian Anderson, Ray Fisher, Steven Yeun, Christopher Woodley, Matt Gerald, Jacob Estrada, Adriana Paz, and Luis Gerardo Méndez.
‘Animals’ is produced in partnership with Artists Equity, the studio founded by Affleck, Matt Damon, and Gerry Cardinale. Affleck also directs the flick.
‘Animals’ is set to premiere in select theaters and on Netflix on October 9.
