Profiled in a tell-all piece that outed Mario Testino and Bruce Weber as filthy and wildly unscrupulous perverts, Roache’ took to ‘The View’ to share his story and reveal that his agents advised him to lie down and take the abuse from the famed photographers.

Though Kenya Moore of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ started out as the show’s villain, the entrepreneur now finds herself standing one of the show’s more positive ‘Wives.’

Using her screen time to raise awareness for social issues affecting her community, the star’s positivity tank ran low on the show’s latest episode when she was accused of insulting cast-mates during a charitable trip to Houston, Texas.

This week, she has used social media to shed more light on her meltdown and claimed that it was provoked by Porsha Williams.

‘Love & Hip-Hop Miami’ is already causing quite the stir and one the names at the centre of the controversy is rising star Amara La Negra. 

A proud Afro-Latina, who has enjoyed success in the Latin market, she’s now hoping to make a mark on a more global scale.

During a now infamous scene, she was shown asking producer Young Hollywood for advice on how to reach her dreams. His response, which was to down her “ethnic, Macy Gray” look, caused outrage and immediately saw an outpouring of support for La Negra.

Keen to discuss the race and cultural politics that so many have opted not to talk about, she stopped by The Breakfast Club today.

During the candid chat, La Negra articulated her points amazingly and expanded a little more on who she is as well her artistic proposition.

Having recently signed a major deal with BMG, folk will no doubt be seeing a whole lot more of her.

Tracee Ellis Ross saw her name in headlines this week for a ‘Hollywood Reporter’ story that alleged she was getting paid “significantly less” than Anthony Anderson, her counterpart on the hit ABC series ‘Black-ish.’

The article also asserted Ross, a staunch supporter of the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements (both campaigns that encourage female empowerment and equality), was threatening to appear in fewer episodes of the show if her pay was not equal to Anderson’s.

As the report gained heat over the week, the actress took to social media over the weekend to not only deny the news, but also address the ‘Hollywood Reporter’ story head on.

Mo’Nique caught a lot of flack this week when she called for a boycott of Netflix over perceived “race and gender bias.”

Many, even some supporters, felt she went about the matter wrong and were quick to point out holes in her argument about why she was being offered less for a stand-up special than comedic counterparts Amy Schumer, Dave Chapelle, and Chris Rock.

And, despite painting the debate as one that is bigger than her and an institutional problem affecting fellow Afro-American stars, none have come forward to vouch for her cause.

Thousands have descended onto streets across the country today to take place in this month’s Women’s March.

Launched to combat oppression and uplift women globally, the march invited the celebrated actress Viola Davis to deliver join the movement.

Once there, the powerful artist delivered a speech calling on her peers to combat sexual abuse, sex trafficking and urged us all to acknowledge how widespread both issues are within our society.
