Kevin Hart may have just been announced as host of the 2019 Oscars, but there wasn’t much time to celebrate.

Why?

Well, archived tweets from the comedian were unearthed and were explicitly homophobic, misogynistic, and even colorist. [Note: we won’t share them here, but they’re…about]

Looking to quell the rising flames, Hart has issued a apology – which took on two tones.

The first was remorseful, with the funnyman asserting “I love everybody.” Yet the other seemed annoyed with the fact folk took aim at him.

The nominations for the 2019 Golden Globe Awards have been announced – and it’s good news for the likes of Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Regina King, Billy Porter and Mahershala Ali.

As some of Hollywood’s most notable names, they have racked up noms for their efforts in titles including ‘A Star Is Born,’ ‘Seven Seconds’,’ ‘Pose,’ and ‘Green Book.’

The fallout from Cardi B and Offset’s split continues.

As reported, the Bronx-bred rapper called time on her marriage with the Migos star following yet more cheating allegations.

Now, one of the women at the center of the melee – Summer Bunni – has released a video apologizing to Cardi and her fans.

As for why she was involved with Offset? She says: she “didn’t know how serious his marriage was.”

Viola Davis‘ contributions to culture and the arts were honoured at the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment 2018 event this week.

There, she received the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award and used her acceptance speech to highlight the highs and lows of her field and encourage her peers to look deeper and see more when creating characters for actors of African descent.

The speech was powerful to say the least.

18 years after first bringing the role of ‘Eve’ to life in the modern Disney classic film, ‘Life Size,’ model/actress Tyra Banks reprised her role as the Barbie come-to-life in its long-awaited sequel.

Strutting to television via the Freeform channel on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, ‘Life Size 2’ may have hit the screen sans its first star, Lindsay Lohan, but the holiday comedy – amidst terrible reviews and stiff Sunday night competition – emerged one of the night’s top rated programs.

Harper’s Bazaar celebrates three generations of fearlessness on their first ever digital cover, which glowingly spotlights Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow, and mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris. The latter of whom is 64 and fabulous!

The stunning spread, lensed in honor of the trio’s hugely popular Facebook series Red Table Talk, sees Pinkett Smith pledge her support for Willow’s life choices, stating that the 18-year-old’s happiness is her priority.

Pete Davidson has spoken out against the backlash he’s received from fans, since his split was Ariana Grande.

In an open letter posted on his Instagram account,  the SNL comedian explains how he’s never said a bad word about anybody and has tried to stay silent on the situation and says:

“I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or forms of reference.”
