Kandi-JET

Season six of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta has been the show’s most action-packed yet — thanks largely to the narrative of Kandi Burruss, boyfriend-turned-fiance Todd Tucker, and of course, Mama Joyce.

Viewers of the Bravo hit have watched with shock, awe, and open jaws as the singer and businesswoman has tried to navigate through the drama that is her personal life.

Still, in pressing on and promoting the upcoming DVD release of her aptly titled musical ‘A Mother’s Love’, Burruss styles and profiles a-front of JET magazine’s April 2014 issue.

On Her Hustle Factor

“When I speak about anything on camera I want to accomplish it before we finish taping. I am a ‘do what I say’ person. I want people to know I’m not a [phony].  I hate when people on reality shows mention how they want to do this and that, but you never hear of it again”

On Fiance, Todd Tucker:

“I love that Todd is affectionate and relationship-oriented. But he’s also a leader and a planner, and because of his production background he makes me a better businesswoman.”

On Mama Joyce:

“When my mother was younger it was all about getting a man to be a provider. She leans toward a man who is financially more well-off than the dude who is just a good guy. I’ve dated guys who are more successful than me, and my mom is like, no matter what he does wrong, you have to work it out.”

Those ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’ syndication checks may continue to line the pockets of the show’s stars 18 years after it wrapped, yet that hasn’t halted the hustle of Tatyana Ali.

The actress, who played loveable Ashley Banks on the hit sitcom, stopped by The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 today.

There, she dished on her upcoming movie ‘November Rules’, as well new music. Perhaps, most interestingly though, the 35-year-old revealed that she was glad when ‘The Fresh Prince’ wrapped.

One month after welcoming ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Donal Logue to its cast, FOX‘s forthcoming series ‘Gotham’ has welcomed Jada Pinkett Smith to its line up this year, enlisting the actress to serve as one its villains.

Based on DC characters from Bob Kane‘s ‘Batman’, the series will explore the genesis of Commissioner James Gordon, set to be introduced as a charismatic rookie detective living in a crime-ridden Gotham City.

Called on to portray sadistic thug ‘Fish Mooney‘, Jada‘s role will place her alongside ‘Blue Juice’ actor Sean Pertwee and ‘All Good Things’ actress Zabryna Guevara, who signed up to play Sarah Essen Gordon, first introduced in ‘Batman #405.’

Will Smith is undoubtedly one of the Hollywood’s most bankable stars.  However, what fans shouldn’t bank on, is seeing the Oscar-nominated beau in the sequel to his hit film ‘Independence Day’.

Indeed, the film – which has grossed nearly a billion dollars worldwide since its 1996 release – is being eyed for a redo by Fox, according to Deadline.  The blockbuster film won’t be, as of time reporting, seeing an appearance from Big Willie.

Via Deadline:

“…director Roland Emmerich and co-writer and producer Dean Devlin are going to have to take on those Earth-leveling aliens without Will Smith. I’m told reliably that Smith informed the studio that he won’t be joining in on a sequel that the filmmakers hope to have in theaters for July 4 weekend, 2016. That marks the 20th anniversary of the 1996 original that grossed $811 million worldwide…”.
