Accused of berating and belittling several employees during her time on the aforementioned series, Braxton’s departure from the series- much to the delight of her fans- dos not mark the end of her run on television.

Tamar Braxton‘s sudden firing from daytime talker ‘The Real’ sent ripples through social media last week.

In the time since, speculation has run rife about what caused her departure from the show.

Despite the chatter, Braxton herself has maintained a notable silence.

That is all set to change this Thursday on WE tv’s ‘Braxton Family Values.’ For, (smartly), the youngest of the singing sisters will use the show (in which she’s an executive producer) as a platform to air her side of the story.

Singer/actress Keke Palmer has seen her name ring around the rumor mill this week as word has it she was in the running to replace Tamar Braxton on FOX’s hit daytime talk show ‘The Real.’

As fans of the show know, Braxton suffered a highly publicized ousting last week (despite the network issuing a statement claiming the decision was mutual).  While the Grammy nominated songstress’s response to the termination is set to air on the next episode of ‘Braxton Family Values,’ the word is FOX is already looking to fill her chair among the show’s hostesses.

The rumor mill may have put Palmer’s name as a frontrunner in the competition, but today she took to Twitter to clear up the confusion:

Welcome to Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature carved out to celebrate TV and Film’s glorious past.

Today, we revisit 1972 to celebrate ‘Lady Sings the Blues’, the Billie Holiday  biographical drama loosely based on her 1956 autobiography.

Starring Diana Ross, the movie told Holiday’s painful tale following her passing in 1952 and saw Ross portray the performer with support from her co-stars Richard Pryor, Billy Dee Williams, Virginia Capers and Paulene Myers.

The movie stood as one of many film projects launched to propel Ross into Hollywood and was nominated for five Academy Awards after picking up $19,726,490 at the Box Office with support from a $14 million budget.
