Chris Rock has finally let loose about the slap seen around the world.

As seen by millions, if not billions, the comic was left stunned after Will Smith laid the smackdown on him live on the Oscars 2022 telecast in one of the most infamous occurrences in television history.

A joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett is what set off a chain of events (and sayings) that are forever etched into the consciousness of Pop culture (“keep my wife’s name out of your motherf*cking mouth!”)

And now, after a calculated silence (of sorts), Rock turned the volume up on his the entire situation in a first-of-its-kind live-streamed Netflix comedy special.

Christened ‘Selective Outrage,’ the hotly anticipated event saw Rock wax candid about a whole host of topics.

But central to the broadcast was, of course, his remarks about the slap, The Smiths, and everything related.

Tami Roman may be best known for her reality show ventures over the years (‘The Real World,’ ‘Basketball Wives,’ etc.), but her acting resume is nothing to scoff at.

The first of the year’s offerings in that stead comes courtesy of Lifetime’s gripping drama ‘Girl in the Closet.’

Based on true events, ‘Closet’ opens the latest chapter of the network’s ‘Girl In’ series and tells the story of a young girl who is accidentally placed in the custody of her killer aunt (portrayed by Roman) after her mother suffers an aneurysm.

Also starring GRAMMY-nominated rapper and reality show personality Remy Ma alongside Brielle Oliver, Daijah Peters, and more, look inside to see the Jaira Thomas-directed flick’s official trailer ahead of its premiere on March 11.

Angela Bassett did the thing – and has been doing so for decades!

This award season has seen the legendary actress honored in earnest for her stunning performance as Queen Ramonda in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’

The latest accolade to be bestowed upon Bassett was the Best Supporting Actress Award at the AAFCA Awards 2023 in Los Angeles. In a sweet, full-circle moment, the prize was presented by producer, director, and Bassett’s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ co-star  Vanessa Bell Calloway.

Prior to the star receiving the honor, That Grape Juice‘s Shar Jossell caught up with her on the red carpet – where she opened up about this season of “gratitude.” She playfully welcomed continued buzz around Ariana DeBose‘s now infamous BAFTA performance and the oh-so-apt lyric we’ve been singing since – “Angela Bassett Did The Thing”!

Season 7 of the ‘Real Housewives Of Potomac’ brought the drama and then some

A ratings success, the Bravo show has proven increasingly popular during its latest outing – thanks largely to its super juicy story arcs.

With the three-part season 7 reunion special underway, it sees the ladies addressing a number of hyper-hot topics.

As reported, the actress/reality star filed for divorce from her husband Ralph Pittman – in a decisive move to end their 8-year marriage.

As previously reported, Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige is looking to extend her reign from music charts and scripted dramas to the talk show circuit with her new BET show ‘The Wine Down.’

Said to “bring together the hottest, most outspoken, highly sought-after people in entertainment, sports, social media, and politics” for “raw, provocative, insightful, and real conversations” over wine, Blige – as evidenced by the recently released first-look trailer – is coming out of the gate swinging with big names like Academy and EMMY Award-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson, GRAMMY-winning rapper, producer, and actor 50 Cent, rapper-Web personality Yung Miami (of the City Girls), and more.

“BET has been one of my biggest supporters throughout my career,” said Blige in a statement. “Being able to now create together, for them to be so supportive of my vision for the type of content I will create, is something I am grateful and excited for. We already have multiple projects in the works and there is much more to come.”
