As diva duets go, none stand toe to toe with ‘When You Believe,’ the powerhouse union of two of music history’s most celebrated female vocalists – Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

Released in 1998, the Babyface-produced gem – lifted from Disney’s ‘The Prince Of Egypt’ soundtrack – has not only stood the test of time but often comes as the ultimate test of ability for a slew of singers that followed.

Among today’s crop of songstresses, few would dare attempt a cover of the Academy Award-winning tune without the assistance of autotune and backing track.  Yet, just a month after showing off her vocal prowess on the song alongside Ariana Grande (click here to watch), Tori Kelly‘s come back to do it again – this time bringing along fellow powerhouse JoJo.

Released in 1997, almost exactly two years after the 23-year-old singer was slain by her own fan, Yolanda Saldívar, the critically acclaimed film not only raked in $60 million at the box office but is also credited as Lopez’s breakthrough and signature role.

To commemorate the profound impact the Gregory Nava-directed movie had on her life and career, the ‘I’m Real’ singer took to social media to offer a heartfelt salute to Quintanilla.

It’s been over a decade since that incident rocked the 2009 MTV VMAs, but bad blood between Kanye West and Taylor Swift rages on.

Once reconciled, the wound was reopened in 2016 when West released the song, ‘Famous,’ from his chart-topping album, ‘The Life of Pablo.’  The hit houses a line that refers to Swift as ‘a b*tch’ – a sentiment she not only resented but was adamant she was unaware of despite Kim Kardashian, West’s wife, furnishing footage at the time “proving” the Grammy-winning songstress pre-approved the lyric’s inclusion in the tune.

Over the weekend (as we reported here), a mysterious source leaked footage that suggests otherwise and proves Swift was right all along.  As her fans, affectionately called #Swifties, celebrated the victory by igniting the hashtags #KanyeWestisOverParty and #TaylorToldtheTruth on Twitter, the ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ diva didn’t make a statement about the hoop-la until Monday (March 23).
