I am black without apology.

After fooling fans into believing she had bleached her skin, Spice dropped the song and music video she employed the publicity stunt to generate attention for.

Black Hypocrisy.

In it, the globally recognised Jamaican icon celebrates her African beauty and condemns those who uphold colorism and seek to fool black girls women into hating their G0d-given melanin.

The video and its message are now global and, much to the star’s delight, has garnered over 1.3 million views on Youtube less than 24 hours after its epic unveiling.

Lauren Jauregui sent fans into a frenzy today with the release of her debut solo single ‘Expectations.’

And while the soulful offering currently sits at #6 on US iTunes, the 22-year-old Fifth Harmony star isn’t resting on her laurels. Instead, she’s pounding the promotional pavement – with her latest stop being MTV‘s TRL.

While chopping it up with host Sway Calloway, Jauregui opened up about her upcoming album, which will be arriving via Columbia Records.

Interestingly, she revealed that the as yet untitled set will not house any features – although she asserts that guest stints on other artist songs are in her future.

Danity Kane are proving that ‘The Universe Is Undefeated’ with their surprise tour of the same name.

Indeed, when the group imploded for the second time in 2014 following their much-hyped reunion, it looked like all hope was lost for another re-teaming.

However, in a testament to “never say never,” Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are back and showing that they’ve not missed  beat.

Currently promoting the Stateside trek, their latest stop was iHeartRadio where they kept it all sorts of real.

The trio opened up about their struggles during previous runs – including the distrust they say was planted by outside male forces.

Dawn and Aubrey expounded on their 8-hour reconciliation (which we EXCLUSIVELY reported on earlier this year), while Shannon waxed honest about the challenges her marriage has experienced on the DK journey.

Excitingly, the ladies also hinted at the possibility of new music – which would be their first since the ‘Lemonade’ led ‘DK3.’

All roads lead to November 23rd for Rita Ora.

The Pop sensation will at long last unleash her sophomore album ‘Phoenix’ on the masses after clearing a number of lofty hurdles.

Indeed, in the six years since she debuted on the scene with ‘ORA,’ the singer has experienced the peaks and troughs of stardom.

For while she amassed five UK #1s, achieved global notability, and became a fixture in fashion, she found herself in the midst of a legal wrangle with her former label which prevented her from releasing new music.

With that drama in rearview and current single ‘Let You Love Me’ morphing into one of her biggest hits yet, it’s all systems go for Ora to rise like a ‘Phoenix.’

Ahead of its official arrival, the LP’s official tracklist has been unveiled and features the likes of Cardi B and Julia Michaels.

Fittingly titled, the track arrives amidst ample excitement for the soulful voiced starlet – who signed with industry juggernaut Columbia Records (home of Beyonce and Adele) earlier this year.

Normani came to play approximately no games with her first high profile set as a solo artist.

The Fifth Harmony star joined the likes of Lil Wayne and Lauryn Hill on the bill at TIDAL x Brooklyn fundraiser event at the Barclays Center.

And she showed out.

Backed by an army of dancers, the budding diva took command of the stage with a degree of seasoning well beyond her age.

She spiced up the spectacle with live performances of top 10 smash ‘Love Lies’ and ‘Checklist’ – her recently rolled out collaboration with Calvin Harris. Also part of her set was previously unheard song ‘Waves,’ which seems to feature rapper 6LACK.

October 23, 1998 marked the emergence of one of pop music’s most dynamic figures:  Britney Spears.

Etched in music history as the release date of her debut single, ‘Baby One More Time’ (from her album of the same name), the Max Martin produced cut – originally submitted to and later passed on by R&B supergroup TLC – introduced the world to a 16-year-old Spears.  Eventually going to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping its parent project become one of the best-selling debut albums in history by reaching worldwide sales of over 25 million, the tune – unknown to us at the time – would be the beginning of a nearly 20-year-long love affair with the pop princess.

Taking to Instagram, Brit – now 36 – commemorated the milestone by thanking her fans for the journey and reflected fondly on the song that launched her career.  Read her heartfelt statement inside:
