Quantasia Sharpton made headlines last year when she stepped forward accusing Usher of exposing them to herpes during sexual intercourse.

She was one of many individuals (women and men) who alleged the same, but she’s far and away the most notable. For, she held a press conference detailing a supposed rendezvous with the singer…at a Holiday Inn.

The social media response was colossal and much of it was negative towards Sharpton.

Even celebs have weighed in, including Usher’s longtime collaborator Jermaine Durpi – who addressed the matter on The Breakfast Club yesterday, referring to Sharpton as “the fat girl.”

Naturally, this has infuriated her and she’s hitting back. Her words below…

While the smoke and mirrors of “brand Katy Perry” seem in tact (see:  new Covergirl commercial, ‘American Idol’ gig, and more), the reality is…it’s not.

Her latest album, ‘Witness,’ has not only garnered her lowest sales to date, but also seen the songstress deliver the most consecutive non-top 40 charting singles of her career.  Though its lead single, ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ (peak #4), appeared promising initially, its follow-ups – ‘Bon Appetit’ (#59 peak) & ‘Swish Swish’ (#46 peak) – spelled of everything but promise.  The album’s succeeding Sia-penned release, ‘Hey Hey Hey’ (released last month), has yet to crack the Hot 100 despite a big budget video in its support.

Undoubtedly hoping to awaken interest in the tune and boost video streams, Perry took to her official VEVO to show off the behind the scenes action and making of the video.  See it inside:

Seal has seen his name in headlines more in the last two weeks than he probably has in the last two years.  And, while fans of the revered singer/songwriter would probably prefer the reasons be more for his music than mayhem, alas controversy has made him a hot topic.

First, he experienced a backlash for slamming Oprah Winfrey after her impassioned Golden Globes speech (click here if you missed it) saw her express staunch support for the #MeToo movement.  Claiming the media mogul was aware of Harvey Weinstein‘s alleged sexual assaults before they became public knowledge, the response from her supporters was so fiery he later apologized

Now, just a week after calling out Weinstein and encouraging women who have suffered from sexual assault to stand up against their assailants, an actress is coming forward with allegations the ‘Kiss From a Rose’ singer forced his lips on her.

Silence in the midst of the storm pretty much defines Usher‘s approach to the herpes scandal that rocked his career last year.

Indeed, the R&B titan has remained mute about the various accusations – from women and men – about him either passing on or exposing them to the disease.

What has been apparent, however, is that the singer has been hard at work on his new album; and he’s lined up longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, and Rico Love to join him.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club to promote ‘Growing Up Hip-Hop,’ JD was quizzed about the project as well as the drama surrounding Ush. His response awaits below…

‘Sorry Not Sorry,’ the lead single from Demi Lovato‘s sixth album, ‘Tell Me You Love Me,’ is still enjoying much love from radio and streaming outlets some 6 months after its release.  First impacting charts in July 2017, the Oak Felder-produced cut is still in the top 20 on the Hot 100 and showing no real signs of slowing down.

In an effort to introduce the masses to other hit-worthy gems from the LP, Lovato is taking her powerhouse chops on the promo trail in support of ‘Love Me’s second single – its title track.  With a peak of #53 on the Billboard Hot 100 to date, we’re certain live showings much like that on ‘Ellen’ today will serve as just the bids needed to push the tune into the top 40.
