Fans of the rising R&B star Kehlani were shocked when she broke down on stage at a  Grand Rapids show yesterday evening.

I truly feel like I might have to go to the hospital at this point because I feel crazy. I’m so sorry, but I came up here and I promised my team that I would try…If you need to be refunded, I’ll take it out of my pocket and reschedule. I put that on everything. We’ll make this show happen again, but I need to go do something about this because I feel crazy.

She went on to add today:

Hey guys not sure why blogs are reporting that I had a mental breakdown but mentally I’m fucking fantastic lol physically tour is EXHAUSTING and people get sick all the time. Please be aware what you spread in regards to mental health; that can be really detrimental. I love you guys! Speak only what you know.

Fifth Harmony lead a star-studded line-up of artists tapped to perform on the 2017 Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.

The Pop quad – who are gearing up to release new music – have been announced as one the major names set to rock the annual extravaganza, which takes place each Friday over the next few months.

With all eyes and ears on the group following the departure of Camila Cabello (who’ll be performing on the TODAY Show’s rival series), it would appear fresh material is nigh. For, rarely will an act perform on the platform without new music to plug.

The ladies will be gracing the GMA stage on June 2nd – by which time member Normani’s high profile stint on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ will have wrapped.

In any case, other talent on the bill include Jason Derulo and Big Sean.

LeToya Luckett is finally gearing up to unwrap her third album ‘Back 2 Life’ this Friday (May 12th).

In hitting the promotional trail, the singer-actress stopped by The Breakfast Club to chat about the project and a whole lot more.

Chopping it up with DJ Envy and Angela Yee, Luckett opened up about her hiatus from music, what folk can expect from her LP, acting, heartbreak in her public relationships, and the group that launched her into stardom – Destiny’s Child.

She also waxed honest about her current relationship with the band’s members – Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and Michelle Williams.

The entertainment mogul Diddy is being sued by his former chef for sexual harassment.

In a complaint filed on Monday Cindy Rueda is suing for sexual harassment, retaliation, defamation, failure to pay overtime and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

She claims she regularly worked from 9 a.m to midnight and would often be forced to serve meals to the rapper after she says he had finished having sex.

One of his friends, she says, came into the kitchen naked and asked her to “look at and admire his genitals.”

Her attorney James Blancarte adds:

In the days following, Plaintiff was accused of theft and told that she would not be prosecuted if she returned the watch and signed a waiver of all rights and claims against Defendants.

She’s seeking damages for unpaid wages and overtime as well plus punitive damages.

That isn’t all.

She also seeks an junction to prevent future employees from being inaccurately classified as exempt.

He is yet to respond.

It’s been 3 months since rapper Big Sean released his chart-topping album, ‘I Decided,’ but he’s still hot on the promo trail in its support.

Last week the rapper gave the video treatment to ‘Light’ – a moving clip unveiled to tackle social topics related to discrimination and police brutality.  Tapping Jeremih to assist, the tune may not have been granted official “single” status, but Sean still enlisted Lawrence Lamont to direct a powerful visual to ensure its stirring themes were effectively brought to light.

And, while fans were still catching their breaths from the former video, the rapper hit them with a follow-up today in the form of the animated ‘Jump Out the Window.’  Also directed by Lamont, the 2D visual sees Sean declare his undying love for a romantic subject that was “meant to be, but never quite was.”

As fans continue to pass on second servings of pop singer Katy Perry‘s latest release, the Migos-assisted ‘Bon Appetit,’ the singer/songwriter is stirring a cooled pot of “beef,” namely a fan-fueled feud between herself and fellow pop chart-topper Taylor Swift.

Many assumed the latter’s 2015 chart ruling ‘Bad Blood’ was a diss aimed at Perry and, if a recent interview is to judge by, that’s a sentiment she too doesn’t appear to think is too far fetched.  Taking to our friends at EW, the ‘Firework’ singer had some fiery words for “anybody” who wanted to “come for her,” especially Ms. Swift.

Mary J. Blige may be going through trying times in her private life, but professionally she continues to shine.

Last week saw the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul unleash her latest album ‘Strength Of A Woman.’

The set arrives at a time when MJB’s name has been a firm fixture in the headlines due to her oh so public divorce from former manager Kendu Isaacs.

It would appear that the heightened interest surrounding the drama in her life has positively affected her commercial clout.

For, ‘Strength’ has become her strongest debut on the US Billboard 200 in seven years.

Opening at #3  with 78,000 SPS units (and 72k in traditional album sales), the LP gifts Blige her best placing since ‘Stronger With Each Tear’ debuted and peaked at #2 in 2010.

The project also grants Blige her best sales week since 2011, when ‘My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1)’ arrived with 156,000 sold in its first week.

Celine Dion has belted countless classics in her time and at this year’s Billboard Music Awards she’ll celebrate her most notable.

For, the French-Canadian diva will take to the stage to perform the iconic ‘My Heart Will Go On.’

The showing will take place in honor of the song’s 20th anniversary.

In a statement, the legendary star said:

“This song means a lot to me, and it has played such a huge role in my career. I’m so grateful to the late James Horner, and to Will Jennings, for writing it and creating the opportunity for me to be part of Titanic, an amazing film whose legacy will continue for generations to come. It’s a great honor to have the opportunity to perform it at the Billboard Music Awards’ international stage, in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary.” [Source]

Dion is one of several superstars tapped to rock the BBMA’s stage, with the longlist including Nicki Minaj, Drake, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, and John Legend.

Katy Perry has been experiencing something quite unusual of late — ‘struggle.’

The Pop force hasn’t been living up to her billing following the blink and you miss it chart run of ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ and the outright tanking of follow-up ‘Bon Appétit.’ She also found herself in the midst a serious race allegation.

Clearly in a reflective mood (perhaps about the misfires), Perry took to Instagram to share a passage about hardship and perseverance. Maybe just maybe as a note to self.

Sales of Lil Yatchy‘s forthcoming album ‘Teenage Emotions‘ aren’t expected to soar when the set drops on May 26th.

What has fared well however is its artwork.

In it, the Bubblegum Trap purveyor celebrates society’s embracing of same-sex relationships by featuring an image of a gay couple kissing.

Unfortunately for him, the image has seen him come under fire from those who seem to be suggesting that he is being used by higher powers to propel a “gay agenda” even further into the African-American community.

Why do you think Hip-Hop is so opposed to Yachty’s cover?

Miley Cyrus has revealed why she has decided to part ways with the Hip-Hop scene after using its key players to push her album ‘Bangerz’ in 2013.

Hoping to venture into new creative ground with her new LP, the vocalist finds herself on the receiving end of talk that she is “culture vulture”, and is the latest in a long line of artists to steal elements from African-American Urban culture and kick it to the curb once done with it.

She told Billboard:

I love that new Kendrick [Lamar] song ‘HUMBLE.’: ‘Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretch marks.’ I love that because it’s not, ‘Come sit on my ****, suck on my ****.’ I can’t listen to that anymore. That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much, ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my ****’ — I am so not that.

Today, after coming under fire for blasting the same lyrical style she used to sell ‘Bangerz’, she has offered more insight into the latest chapter of her career.

When articles are read it isn’t always considered that for hours I’ve spoken with a journalist about my life , where my heart is, my perspective at that time, and the next step in my career. Unfortunately only a portion of that interview makes it to print, & A lot of the time publications like to focus on the most sensationalized part of the conversation. So, to be clear I respect ALL artists who speak their truth and appreciate ALL genres of music (country , pop , alternative …. but in this particular interview I was asked about rap) I have always and will continue to love and celebrate hip hop as I’ve collaborated with some of the very best! At this point in my life I am expanding personally/musically and gravitating more towards uplifting, conscious rap! As I get older I understand the effect music has on the world & Seeing where we are today I feel the younger generation needs to hear positive powerful lyrics! I am proud to be an artist with out borders and thankful for the opportunity to explore so many different styles/ sounds! I hope my words (sung or spoken) always encourage others to LOVE…. Laugh…. Live fully…. to be there for one another… to unify, and to fight for what’s right (human , animal , or environmental ) Sending peace to all! Look forward to sharing my new tunes with you soon! – MC
