As we reported here, rapper Big Sean‘s fourth LP, ‘I Decided,’ was on course to top the Billboard 200 if predicted figures were to be believed.

The follow-up to 2014’s chart-topping ‘Dark Sky Paradise,’ Sean’s latest set – featuring the Urban hits ‘Bounce Back’ and ‘Moves’ – has moved critics to wield thumbs up across a number of print and online outlets.  And, if the final figures afforded the project are any indication, it looks poised to replicate that success commercially.

The stars stepped out in seismic style last night for Clive Davis’ Annual Pre-Grammy Gala 2017.

This year’s offering saluted BET Network head Debra Lee for her contributions to the worlds of music and entertainment.

Britney Spears led a lengthy list of notable names in the house at the Beverly Hilton event, which was also attended by Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and Best New Artist nominee Chance The Rapper – all of whom performed.

As is customary, the 2017 edition of Jay Z‘s Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch brought out a who’s who of the music industry.

The annual gathering, which takes place the day before music’s biggest calendar night, was this year attended by the likes of Rihanna, Diddy, T.I, DJ Khaled, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Jaden Smith, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Tiwa Savage, and more.

Ed Sheeran served up a double dose of slayage on this evening’s Saturday Night Live!

The British singer delivered rousing renditions of smash hit singles ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’; both of which are lifted from his upcoming third album ‘Divide.’

Due in stores on March 3rd, the LP has been bolstered by the chart topping success of ‘Shape’ and a slew of media appearances. The latest, it has been announced, will take place at tomorrow night’s Grammy Awards.

Frank Ocean is renown for marching to the beat of his own drum. As such, while his decision to not enter new album ‘Blonde’ for this year’s Grammy‘s surprised some, others were less shocked.

Folk are likely to raise an eyebrow in unison, however, following the crooner’s comments towards the committee.

Producer Ken Ehrlich is believed to have simply answered a question about Ocean’s decision not to take part.

His words clearly irked the star, because he took to his Tumblr and wrote this…

Stand’ singer Donnie McClurkin is standing in the need of prayer himself after Twitter got wind of his suggestion for Christians to stop protesting Donald Trump.

Much like fellow gospel singers Vicki Yohe and Tina Campbell (of Mary Mary) before him, McClurkin called for a “cease fire,” so to speak, among Christians who have expressed disasppointment in the current administration.  Taking to Erica Campbell’s syndicated radio show, the Grammy winning vocalist stated:

“We need to know what our vote really means and how to utilize it. But I don’t want us to get caught up in this protest. The protests do nothing but rile [people] up. It causes people’s anger to rise up and it gives us a false sense of involvement.

…the true sense of involvement is at the voting booth.”

Needless to say, like Campbell and Yohe, McClurkin’s advice was met with backlash and ridicule.  Read the OMG-worthy tweets inside:

Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin has gifted music some of its most memorable numbers over the past 5 decades.  Now, after cranking out countless hits, topping charts, and filling concert venues, the legendary singer is looking to take her final bow.

Much to the dismay of longtime fans, Franklin – who boasts 18 Grammys and over 75 million records sold to her credit – has revealed her upcoming projects will be her last.
