Eminem is back! Not that he ever went away, yet his looming return to the charts will likely spell another run of dominance on the album tally globally.
Slim Shady is gearing up to release the follow-up to last year’s ‘The Marshal Mathers LP 2’ in November and has revealed its title and official release date.
As earlier reported, a shooting at a club event Chris Brown hosted last night left Hip-Hop figure Suge Knight wounded (after being shot six times) and subsequently hospitalised.
The singer was tapped to attend and promote the pre-VMA party, which took place at the 1OAK nightclub, and all was going well until gunfire broke out in the early hours of this morning.
Initial reports suggested the bullets were aimed at C. Breezy, however subsequent accounts confirmed he was not the target and the real issue was instead to do with Knight, rapper The Game, and other folk present.
Still, it didn’t stop some sects from unfairly muddying Brown’s name in the melee.
Perhaps in a bid to re-affirm that he wasn’t involved, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to share his stance on the incident.
Numerous delays have plagued the release of the singer’s sixth studio album ‘X’. However, September 16th finally sees the set unleashed.
Preceded by singles such as ‘Fine China’, ‘Loyal’, and its title track, the masses can now find out what other songs made the cut in lieu of the release of the LP’s official tracklist.
Check out the tally for the standard and deluxe editions of the album read like below…
While the masses will be tuning in tonight to witness what is shaping up to be yet another glorious MTV Video Music Awardsmoment for Beyonce, we’d like to take a second and celebrate a prolific VMA performance which holds a very special place in our vault. Performing a medley of ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’ and ‘If’, we give you Ms. Janet Jackson’s 1993 Video Music Awards showing as this week’s From The Vault pick.
Produced and written by usual suspects Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis alongside the diva herself, the two tracks were respectively the first two singles off Jackson’s eponymous fifth album ‘janet.’ which hit #1 with the largest first week sales for a woman at the time of release. The two singles, arguably two of her signature hits, fared extremely well on the Billboard charts too with ‘Love’ claiming the top spot for 8 consecutive weeks in the US and hitting #2 in the UK while ‘If’ reached the 4th position of the Hot 100 and was a UK Top 20 hit.
Closing the ceremony, Janet opted for a slow start with the sultry and sensuous ‘Love’ nonetheless engaging in ample choreography with her female dancers. For the second chapter of the performance, it seems the ‘Feedback’ singer wanted to remind people of the “stage-blazer” status she acquired during her ‘Rhythm Nation days’: extra dancers, wind machines and of course THAT dance-break were all set in motion to ensure the ceremony went out with a bang during the sickening ’If’.

With Janet reportedly releasing a new album later this year (which would naturally come with edgy visuals), could next year’s VMA ceremony honor Janet the same way they did Justin Timberlake last year and are about to do Beyonce tonight? Granted she already won the Video Vanguard Award over two decades ago, we’re still salivating at the prospect of a 15+ minutes Janet Jackson performance on the grand stage, and we’re convinced MTV could think of something fresh and exciting to justify such an event.
Only time will tell it seems. In the meantime, we’ll heavily replay this performance and will be glued to our seats tonight, hoping for brand new VMA moments as epic as this.
Drama knocked on Chris Brown‘s front door once again this weekend, starting with a shooting at his appearance at LA’s ‘1 Oak’ yesterday evening.

Hours separate the world from this year’s ‘MTV Video Music Awards’, set to flaunt appearances made by Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Iggy Azalea and Usher!
So, as to make sure momentum for her slithery set stays sky high, Minaj made her way to ‘Good Morning America’ to dish on her new single ‘Anaconda’ and the performance she no doubt hopes will sell the album it’s lifted from…’The Pink Print.’
Bodacious beauty Jennifer Lopez has announced ‘Booty’ as the latest single from her new album ‘A.K.A’. And the stage blazer has wasted no time getting to work on its accompanying video.
This weekend saw the 45-year-old shoot the video over two days on a soundstage in Burbank, CA with director Hype Williams.
Interestingly, the Pitbull assisted cut appears to have welcomed an additional guest act – Iggy Azalea.
The rapper, who joins J.Lo on another ‘A.K.A’ cut titled ‘Acting Like That’, was called out as being present on set.
It’s been all of three weeks since Remy Ma was released from prison and the rapper already has already debuted a new video.
As reported, the former Terror Squad front-woman – who served 6 years of an 8 year sentence for assault with a deadly weapon – wasted no time putting her own spin on DJ Khaled‘s ‘They Don’t Love You No More’ alongside French Montana.
