With the clock racing toward the January 5 release of the fifth installment of French Montana‘s ‘Mac & Cheese’ musical series (that dates back to 2009’s ‘Mac Wit Da Cheese‘), the GRAMMY nominee (born Karim Kharbouch) is whetting fan appetites with a new single: ‘Okay’ featuring GRAMMY-winning rapper Lil Baby.

Surprisingly their first collaboration, the tune’s December 8 delivery comes after weeks of ample teasing.

“She wanna ride with the star (Star) / Ended up droppin’ my top, okay / My ex told me she needed space (Space) / I guess we both goin’ to Mars, okay,” French raps on the ATL Jacobs-produced cut.

As Michaela Jae‘s growing fanbase anxiously awaits news about her yet-titled debut album, the ‘Something to Say‘ songstress has something to say for the Christmas season and is tiding them over with her latest single ‘Snow Globe.’

A 2000’s-inspired R&B jam, ‘Snow’ sees the Golden Globe winning singer-actress call out to a former flame that’s grown cold over the holidays.

“Underneath the mistletoe/You are the that let me go/Hoping, dreaming, wishing, and thinking/Santa’s gift from you to me / Make my Christmas wish complete,” she croons on the sizzling number.

Some billed it as a “chart showdown,” but it’s all love between Brenda Lee and Mariah Carey.

As reported, Lee’s holiday classic ‘Rockin Around the Christmas Tree’ pipped Mimi’s annual chart-topper ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ to secure its first-ever stint at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100…65 years after its debut.

With ‘The Color Purple’ drawing nearer its release on Christmas Day (December 25), more material from the film’s star-studded soundtrack has been unlocked.

The latest is the Usher and H.E.R.-led anthem ‘Risk It All.’

A stirring piano-driven hymn, the soulful track sees the potent pair trade verses about risking it all for love, which, by design, mirrors the themes explored in the Blitz Bazawule-directed movie: risk, love, and liberation.

As reported, ‘The Color Purple’ soundtrack (due December 15) will feature the film’s stars Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Bailey, and Ciara. Additional names in the mix (beyond Usher and H.E.R.) also include Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
