We couldn’t be any more ready for September 23rd!

In addition to getting our hands on the latest records from TGJ-favorites Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, and Michelle Williams, we will finally get to jam out to the long-awaited official debut album of crooner Luke James.

Just a day after sending fans into a frenzy by unveiling the covers to the self-titled project, the N’awlins native unwrapped the ever-sensual accompanying visual to his new single Dancing In The Dark.’  Featuring a not-so-clothed James, the Prince-inspired song and video come as the latest lifts from his debut LP which features production from the likes of Danja,  Kadis & Sean, The Alliance, Salaam Remi, and more.

Talk about going in and out with a bang!

Lily and Julianna were playing approximately no games with this cover and we’re not mad at them for it.  Soaring vocals, melisma executed with passion and precision, and last, but not least, the injection of their own personalities helped make this an enjoyable watch.

To cover a song delivered by the likes of powerhouses Jessie J and Ariana Grande is certainly no easy task, but these ladies stepped up to the plate.  Bravisimo!

On September 30th 2014 Elijah Blake will unlock his new EP ‘Drift‘, the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Bijoux 22.’

Tasked with selling the project on iTunes once it drops, the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter teased the release by teasing one of the numbers that will appear on it…a haunting cut named ‘Strange Fruit.’

Now watch as he teases a Janet Jackson-style dance break from its video on ‘Instagram’, just weeks before the project’s release.

After kissing the top of charts last year with his official debut album ‘Kiss Land,’ Canadian crooner The Weeknd has been emo-R&B’s must hear crooner.  Dropping many-a-jaw last week with his NSFW video ‘Often,’ the singer – born Abel Tesfaye – returns with a bit more work-friendly video for his new single ‘King of the Fall.’

A seductive affair equipped with all of the ingredients that make for a Weeknd video (mystery, sex, melancholy), the song and its accompanying visual comes just before Tesfaye is set to embark on a tour of the same name this fall (featuring SchoolBoy Q and Jhene Aiko).

It’s been nearly 3 years since Luke James burst onto the scene with his emotionally charged single ‘I Want You.’  Since then, fans have wanted nothing more than to put their hands on an official LP from the R&B powerhouse.  Now, September 23rd will see their patience rewarded with the New Orleans-native’s debut, self-titled project.

Kicked off by the Rick Ross-assisted single ‘Options’ and the recently released ‘Dancing In The Dark,’ the 12 track LP will feature production from Danja,  Kadis & Sean, The Alliance, Salaam Remi, and James himself.  To only tease the flame of anticipation that already surrounds the project, Luke took to Twitter to unmask its official album covers, track list, and more.

The wait is finally over friends.  A day before ‘Dark’ will see its video premiere online, you can now get your first look at the album’s standard cover (seen above), while the deluxe cover and track list await below:
