Black Hollywood’s brightest stars came out to play at the Beverly Hills hotel last night, partying at ESSENCE’s ‘Black Women In Hollywood’ Luncheon.

In attendance and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Oprah Winfrey, Laila Ali and Diahann Carroll were ‘Haven’t Told You’ singer Kelly Rowland and ‘Spotlight’ stunner Jennifer Hudson.

Arriving as they continue work on new albums, the beautiful pair looked on as Oprah and Gabrielle Union were honoured at the high profile event, which also drew in ‘XOX’ Rapper Common.

With the newest Youtube-influenced Billboard charts in effect, the records of pop history’s premieres are in jeopardy.

Indeed, the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, Prince, and Madonna may have had to rely on talent, single sales, and radio play to put them atop charts, but this stream-heavy generation will see its chart-toppers nab the Hot 100’s top spot through Internet play in conjunction with the aforementioned.

The refreshing of next week’s tally will see the first effects of yesterday’s announcement and, as previously reported, will land Baauer‘s viral hit ‘Harlem Shake’ at the #1 spot. Sure enough, pop princess Rihanna‘s name will pop up just a few spots behind him…

Frank Ocean celebrated his BRIT Award 2013 win with Taylor Swift last night, snapped partying with the ‘I Knew You Were A Trouble’ singer in London.

The life and soul of at Universal Music’s after party, the Grammy winning R&B King was caught on the dance floor reaping the rewards of his #1 album, ‘Channel Orange’ which rose by 34 spots on the UK Albums Chart in the space of a single week, this week.

Impressive, considering this was achieved before his appearance as last night’s show.

R&B forces collided recently, when ‘Torn‘ singer Letoya Luckett caught up with ‘Lose Control’ stunner Keri Hilson in Texas.

Snapped posing it up at the former’s high end boutique, Lady Elle, the R&B divas were pictured months before fans can expect new music from Keri, whose last album, ‘No Boys Allowed’ debuted on the Billboard 200 with 102,000 units.

Their sighting also comes two weeks after Luckett watched her Destiny’s Child sisters rock the Super Bowl 2013 Halftime Show as part of Beyonce‘s commitment to the event, now available to watch here!

Much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, readers of That Grape Juice what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.  So in a quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday we introduce a new retrospective segment – ‘TGJ Replay’.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits.  Our inaugural post comes from none other than ‘Jenny From the Block’ herself – Jennifer Lopez.
