Seven months after watching The Weeknd watched his 2024 single ‘Timeless‘ become a history-making top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian hitmaker apparently feels its time to see the ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow‘ smash reclaim its former chart glory.

Tapping two of the year’s hottest rappers – Playboi Carti and Doechii – for the tune’s official remix, the trio of hitmakers not only surprised their fans with the announcement of the collaboration but also the brief lead-in before its May 9 release.

“Top Dawg cashin’ out dumb stock (Got that) / Pull up to the pgLang on the dot (On the dot) / Now I got a top shelf wristwatch (Wristwatch) / I been that girl since hopscotch, I’m too legit,” Doe raps on her fiery addition to the blazing track.

Mariah the Scientist is burning up the Web with her new hit ‘Burning Blue.’

Long overdue recognition for the singer-songwriter, ‘Burning’ – the first single from her yet-titled and upcoming fourth studio album – flew to #1 on Apple Music and currently holds the distinction of being the only female-led song to do so on the platform this year.

Capitalizing on the momentum, Mariah (born Mariah Buckles) has unleashed the official music video for the burgeoning hit.

“I got that blue fever / Cold as ice ’til you came near / You’re like another fire-breathing creature / But it don’t burn how it appears / It’s true you could make me melt,” she sings over Jetski Purp production.

Reportedly hard-at-work on her sophomore album, South African songstress Tyla has lifted the lid on what’s believed to be the first taste from the forthcoming project courtesy of the new single ‘Bliss.’

Teased in earnest on social media in the days leading up to its May 9 release, the sizzling tune – which shares the name of her signature Erewhon smoothie – comes as her first official new release of 2025.

“Take me out my mind (Oh, oh) / You take me to bliss / Never felt a love like this / Never found it, never found it,” she sings over NOVA WAV and Sir Nolan production.

Ed Sheeran has given his latest single, the touching ‘Old Phone,’ the official visual treatment.

The second single from his forthcoming album ‘Play‘ (due on digital shelves September 12), ‘Phone’ rings in as the follow-up to the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hit ‘Azizam’ and tells the tale of bittersweet memories connected to literally rediscovering an old phone filled with photos and text messages of loved ones who have passed on.

“I found my old phone today / Arguments that I tried to keep at bay / Thе ones who loved me, I just pushed them away / Couldn’t tell the difference from the leeches,” he croons over ILYA production.

Ayra Starr and Wizkid have unleashed the video for ‘Gimme Dat,’ their latest collaboration.

The flavorsome team-up follows 2022’s ‘2 Sugar.’

Creatively shaped by vybeO and Mikababeatz, the catchy cut is built around a sample of Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige’s classic ‘911.’

Igniting the track the more, Afrobeat royals turn up the heat in its accompanying visual. The clip was directed by Annie Bercy and Starr.

‘Gimme Dat’ arrives amidst the momentum established by Starr’s sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21.’  It also debuts as she prepares to hit the big screen in the movie adaptation of ‘Children of Blood and Bone,’ alongside Viola Davis, Idris Elba, and Cynthia Erivo.

Usher concluded his colossal ‘Past Present Future’ residency at London’s O2 Arena in fine form.

The King of R&B delivered a spectacular showing as he wrapped up the unprecedented run.

Comprised of 10 unforgettable nights, Usher played to over 200,000 revellers in total. That number expands to 300,000 when factoring in the European leg, which included stops in Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin.

Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage and Eve were on hand as Usher bid farewell to the latest leg. Other major names that appeared during the residency include Naomi Campbell, Craig David, and T.I.

The BET Awards are back and set to blaze on Monday, June 9.

Universal Music Group is not hitting back hard in its ongoing legal battle with Drake.

As reported, the rapper filed a lawsuit against the industry juggernaut (to whom he has long been signed as an artist). The Canadian superstar claims UMG made moves to inflate the popularity of ‘Not Like Us’ – Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track aimed at Drizzy.

In the latest chapter of the legal back-and-forth, UMG is moving to have the case dismissed.
