In 2011, three years after the release of ‘I Am..’, Beyonce delivered ‘4′- her first predominately R&B piece since 2003’s ‘Dangerously In Love‘.

Laced with Summer soaked medleys, stripped back ballads and Afro centric power jams, the project’s campaign was essentially cut short to make way for the star’s first child, Blue Ivy. This, despite marking the happiest time in Knowles’ life, also left many questions unanswered:

Would the album’s era continue well into 2012?

Would Blue’s arrival put B’s career on hiatus?

However, much to the relief of her fans, Knowles confirmed her return to the stage this month, readying a three day concert at New Jersey’s Revel Resorts in May.

As was to be expected, with this announcement came reports that a ‘re-boot’ of ‘4’ was also on its way- with the promise of singles that would soar to heights their predecessors didn’t. Indeed, despite reaching #1, the album is yet to spawn a Billboard #1 Hot 100 single- meaning 2008’s ‘Single Ladies’ was single by Mrs. C to sit atop the coveted tally.

A fact, much of her ‘Beyhive’ resents.

So, with Rihanna turning up  the heat on a singles front and GaGa reportedly releasing  her fourth studio LP this year, we ask:

What should Beyonce do next?

Weigh in below…

Following a three year crawl back to the top, Chris Brown is seeing the title of latest LP, ‘Fortune’, ring true months ahead of its release.

Indeed, the set’s preceding singles ‘Strip’ and ‘Turn Up The Music’ have soared on charts Stateside, with the latter now on course to achieve a career first for the 22 year old in the UK.

And in continuing her promo push for the project, the former reality star strikes a fierce pose for the latest issue of Heed magazine.

Having listened to the set over at AOL, it’s fair to say the material is equally as great. Kudos to Dawn. Now she’s out the clutches of the career gobbler, here’s hoping she finds a label that “gets” and pushes her. She’s too gifted to fall into Pop oblivion.

Risque Miami rapper Trina plans to take the Nicki Minaj-route with her next album by ditching Hip-Hop and going straight Pop!

In an effort to crossover, the ‘Always’ MC plans to tone down her bootylicious image and embrace the current dance/pop trend thats taking over music.

Making an appearance on ‘Style By June’ Trina says of her new revamp, “I completely want to transform my everything. I just want a new look from the inside out. I’m doing a new album; the sound is different. The sound is more poppy, it’s crossover. Hip-Hop is where it started, and I love Hip Hop, but I’m totally at a different phase.
