A weekly acoustic series – launched by Keri Hilson, The Splash brings the freshest talent to your screen with a twist. For, with its unique blend of new and known acts, the show visually underlines what That Grape Juice is all about. Celebrating and spotlighting great talent.

Speaking on The Splash, That Grape Juice Founder Sam A, says:

“With That Grape Juice, my mantra has always been that there are no limits on where we can go, what we can do. Most especially, as an Urban Pop Culture outlet. Hence, in building on that stance, The Splash was born – and I couldn’t be more excited. Very much the centre-piece of That Grape Juice TV, the show provides a much needed weekly platform to showcase the talents of both new and established acts. To launch with the immensely talented Keri Hilson too is just…amazing!”

Ever keen to hear what masses are saying, The Word sees That Grape Juice hits the streets to find out the views of the people. With episodes shot in London, New York, and Los Angeles, the webisode is in every which way global.

The BET Awards 2011 is almost upon us. Airing live from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, the event sees performances from the likes of Beyonce, Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Lil’ Wayne, Trey Songz and more. Of course, the June 26th show will witness many a coveted award handed out.

Last night during her truly show stopping concert in France, Beyonce performed the song ‘Best Thing I Never Had‘. Lifted from upcoming album ‘4‘ which is to be released on June 28th, the release is set to serve as an upcoming single to support the LP.

Alicia Keys has generated more excitement for the re-release of debut album ‘Songs In A Minor‘ with the surfacing of the song ‘Type Writer’.

Recorded long before she was harmonizing with female convicts in ‘Fallin’ and declaring her power in ‘A Woman’s Worth‘, ‘Type Writer’ was written  back in 1997 in the humility of her Harlem apartment.

Last night, Los Angeles attendees of Britney Spears‘ ‘Femme Fatale Tour‘ had their worlds rocked when the 30 year old starlet was joined on stage by Lil Kim‘s favourite rapper, Nicki Minaj.

The ‘SuperBass‘ performer accompanied the ‘Toxic‘ lipsyncher for a performance of the ‘Till The World Ends‘ remix, which she features on.

Cher Lloyd made a name for herself on the last season of the X Factor and hopes to make a bigger one as releases her debut single ‘Swagger Jagger’ (a snippet of which you listen to here).

Based on this new promotional pic, Lloyd is taking the song’s title to literal levels – as the look has been done time in and time out. Still, we’re keen to hear what the 17 year old will be serving up with her Stadeside recorded material.
