Jojo may be singing about disasters these days, but you are about to witness one.  As has been making its rounds around the blog-o-sphere, a host of has-beens have joined forces to create what is certifiably a historic hot mess of a video.  Led by ‘Grind On Me’ group Pretty Ricky, the visual for ‘Knocking Off Your Heels’, said to be the lead single from their upcoming BlueStars 2 (due early 2012), features legendary R&B group Jodeci and 90s R&B bad boys H-Town.

While fans of all three groups have noticed their collective absences from charts and radio alike, view of this visual may concern and confirm that even more absence is yet to come.

Without further adieu…the late night special.

The Adele reign will just not let up.  Aside from her record setting ’21’ album and lead single ‘Rolling In the Deep’, Billboard brings new reports that it’s been a while since they last saw ‘someone like her’.

Via Billboard:

With Adele‘s leap from No. 19 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with “Someone Like You,” the singer achieves the biggest jump to No. 1 in the chart’s 53-year history that wasn’t spurred by the release of a single.Every other larger vault to No. 1 in Hot 100 history came as a result of a single arriving to the market. That includes the chart’s greatest jump, Kelly Clarkson’s 97-1 leap in 2009 with “My Life Would Suck Without You”.

In addition to already having the year’s best selling album with 3.3 million shifted since its release, forecasters have revealed the album is expecting to pass the 4.5 million mark by the year’s end.

Comedian/‘DJ Play a Love Song’ singer Jamie Foxx joins an already illustrious list of performers set to honor King of Pop Michael Jackson at the ‘Michael Forever’ tribute in October. The actor’s addition comes as one of many headlines surrounding the event today.  Aside from sister Janet Jackson‘s recent announcement of a planned absence from the event as well as other familial opposition, now fans (who have already purchased tickets) are globally voicing disappointment in the event’s recently announced ticket price slash.

Additionally, the web was set abuzz earlier today with reports that mommy-to-be Beyonce cancelled her via satellite performance at the tribute.  However, reps for the ‘Sweet Dreams’ singer have since slammed such reports.

Ne-Yo, Christina Aguilera, and Smokey Robinson are just a few of the other noted musicians tapped to tribute the ‘Thriller’ singer.

The Beyonce machine is always hard at work.  If not churning out hits in the studio or blazing international stages, there are photos and video sets being turned out by the ‘Single Ladies’ singer.  As seen by parts 1 and parts 2, the mommy-to-be is involved in every aspect of polishing the brand – in front and behind the scenes.

While many may have been disappointed by the swift sell-out of the ‘4 Intimate Nights’ spectacle, fans should fret not as a DVD chronicling the concert is being readied.

In the meantime, the singer satiates with Beyonce: behind the scenes (part 3) after the jump:

Leona Lewis‘ music may incessantly be slammed for being mundane, yet the Londoner cannot be critiqued for her ever-evolving image.

Cue her edgy new shoot for ‘Rollacoaster’ magazine. Indeed, the colour and spark that her personality and material tends to lack manifests in this stunning new shot which accompanies her feature in the snazzy mag.

Speaking on her rep for being “boring”, the 26 year old tells the publication:

“I’ve read it, especially from one journalist who has never met me. But it doesn’t bother me.

I’d rather be seen like that than a harsh, brash person. If my friends said that, then I’d have something to worry about.” {Source}

Hmm. Not so sure about that. We’re in an age where consumers want to buy into much more than just the music. One need not look further than Rihanna –whose success has almost entirely been built on her image and ‘rebelious’ personality. Does that have to be Leona’s selling point? Of course not. Yet, she’d be better off realising that it’s not her “friends” who’ll buy enough records to ensure she stay relevant.

Still, it begs the question…how, exactly, can she not be boring? Your guess is as good as mine. However, other acts charged with such personality crimes such as Beyonce oft manage to exude personality in abundance on stage. Something Ms. Lewis can’t say she does regularly. Alas, there’s still hope.

In any case, ‘Rollacoaster’ is the latest in a string of promotional spots for the 26 year old, whose new single ‘Collide’ is on course for a top 5 position on this week’s Official UK Singles Chart.
