Kelly Clarkson fans who feared her EMMY-winning daytime talk show would keep her way from the studio were relieved in late 2022 when the Pop diva announced that she would release new music in early 2023.
True to her word, Clarkson lifted the lid on two new songs ‘Mine’ and ‘Me’ on Friday (April 14) – the double lead singles from her tenth studio offering, ‘Chemistry‘ (due on digital shelves June 23).
“Having chemistry with someone is an incredible, and overwhelming, feeling. It’s like you have no choice in the matter,” she said about the project’s title. “This album takes you down every path that chemistry could lead you down.”
When dishing about why ‘Mine’ and ‘Me’ were selected to kick off the new era, Kelly – whose highly-publicized divorce was finalized last year – said the two tunes best represented the LP overall.
“We decided to release ‘Mine’ and ‘Me’ at the same time because I didn’t want to release just one song to represent an entire album, or relationship,” she revealed. “There are many stages of grief and loss on this album. Each song is a different stage and emotional state.”

Jesy Nelson is back and aiming to blaze with her new single ‘Bad Things.’
The haunting track is the first the former Little Mix starlet has released since polarizing launch offering ‘Boyz’ arrived in October 2021.
Wasting no time lighting a match under the track, the 31-year-old has paired the cut with a cinematic visual inspired by notorious gangsters, The Kray Twins.
Thematically, both the song and its accompanying visual see Nelson muse on magnetizing the wrong type of man.

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.
However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.
This week, we want to highlight cuts from Lewis Capaldi, IVE, New Hope Club, and Waterparks .

If winning their inaugural GRAMMYs together and making Billboard history with their duet, ‘Kiss Me More,’ is proof, Doja Cat and SZA are formidable forces apart and even more so collaboratively.
Hopes to underscore that point came Friday (April 14) courtesy of a reunion via the surprise remix to the latter’s blockbuster hit, ‘Kill Bill.’
The tune’s original incarnation, found aboard SZA’s top-selling sophomore album ‘SOS,’ was recently certified triple Platinum for sales of 3 million in the United States and has been a mainstay in the Hot 100’s top 5 since its January 13 release.
Could the Doja-assisted revamp be just what’s needed to finally get it to #1 on the hitlist? Hop inside to hear it and tell us.
Don’t play with it; it’s Lola Brooke on the remix!
