Much like the 2021 Billboard Music Awards before it, this year’s iteration of the show may have packed star power aplenty with dynamic performances from the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Maxwell, Jack Harlow, Burna Boy, and more (as we reported here), but the assembly of hitmakers still wasn’t enough to win the night’s ratings war.
Also like last year’s edition, the 2022 #BBMAs made history for the ceremony as its lowest-rated to date.
As if swinging to the top of global box offices to historic measure wasn’t enough, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has swung to the top of the nominee list for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Wrapping 7 nods in its web, the Tom Holland-led Marvel blockbuster will enter the June 5-airing ceremony as the movie with the most chances to win followed by the six nods afforded to HBO’s ‘Euphoria’ (the most-nominated TV series) and the four nominations listed beside Warner Bros.’ hit flick ‘The Batman.’
Alongside the MTV Movie & TV Awards will be the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted — a twist on the show that’s set to recognize reality TV, talk shows, and documentaries.
Look inside for the full list of nods and see if your favorite movies and TV shows from the last year made the cut.
Just weeks after it was announced Ne-Yo will be starring opposite former ‘Empire’ star Serayah aboard the forthcoming romantic comedy ‘Sound of Christmas’ (as we reported here), the two – who previously shared screen time aboard VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Christmas’ – have unwrapped yet another collaboration.
This time teaming for the music video to his latest single ‘Don’t Love Me,’ Ne-Yo narrates as Serayah acts out the emotional rollercoaster of a love-gone-wrong alongside ‘P-Valley’ actor Tyler Lepley. Ultimately, he urges her to move on.
“Please, oh, please, don’t love me / Walk away, you’ll be better for it / I can’t be, your happy / Walk away, you’ll be better for it, girl / I’m only gonna hurt you,” he pleads on the emotional track.
Hop inside to see the dramatic ‘Don’t Love Me.’ which is believed to be the latest taste of what’s set to line his forthcoming album, ‘Self-Explanatory.’
A funky, retro-inspired number, ‘Too Much’ – the latest single from Mark Ronson – is a bonafide party starter!
Teaming with fellow GRAMMY winner Lucky Daye to bring the soulful Disco cut to life, the song sees Daye sing to his lover about the joys of letting loose and throwing caution to the wind.
“You’re too much / We’re just catching up to time / Let’s do too much / Something that we never tried,” he croons.
