In just four years since officially bursting on to the scene with her chart-topping breakthrough hit ‘Bodak Yellow,’ rapstress Cardi B has colored her name in the history books of a number of award shows.

As if being the first female emcee to win ‘Best Rap Album’ at the GRAMMYs wasn’t enough, she’s also penciled in record books for nabbing the Billboard Music Award for Top Female Rap Act than any competitor, a slew of American Music Awards, and is listed as the first female rapper to win Album of the Year at the BET Awards.

Speaking of the latter, Tuesday’s BET Hip Hop Awards (October 5) saw Cardi capture yet another award show record thanks to the additions to her list of trophies garnered from the show.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards blasted from screens Tuesday night (October 5) and, as ever, the high octane show brought the goods!

Hosted by comedy supergroup 85 South (comprised of Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly and Chico Bean), the ceremony featured appearances from some of the best and brightest names in Hip Hop as well as stage-blazing performances from the likes of Latto, BIA, Young Thug, Baby Keem, Tobe Nwigwe, and Nelly (the night’s ‘I Am Hip Hop Icon’ honoree).

The BET Hip Hop Awards returned to Atlanta for its 2021 ceremony and saw a number of notable names on hand at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre – including rapper DreamDoll.

It goes without saying that the femcee has steadily been on her grind and has turned the volume up on her buzz with bops such as ‘Tryouts’ and ‘Different Freestyle.’

That Grape Juice‘s Ques Williams caught up with the star on the red carpet, where she dished on her new label, new music, and her love for Lil Nas X.

‘The Game’ returns for another round of action this November.

As reported, the popular dramedy has been revived and will be housed on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Comprised of 10-episodes, the action moves from San Diego to Las Vegas and will see the football-focal series tackle racism, sexism, classism, and more as the collective fight for fame, fortune, respect, and love.

Blending the new and the known, the new chapter of the hit show will see legacy stars Hosea Chanchez (Malik Wright) and Wendy Raquel Robinson reprise their anchoring roles as Malik Wright and Tasha Mack respectively; while Pooch Hall, Coby Bell, and Brittany Bell are back as Derwin Davis, Jason Pitts, and Kelly Pitts.

Newcomers include Adriyan Rae as Brittany Pitts, the daughter of Jason and Kelly Pitts; Vaughn Hebron as Jamison Fields, an undrafted free agent; and Analisa Velez as Raquel Navarro, Brittany’s best friend.

The Afrobeats queen and The Vocal Bible have been enjoying viral success with the relatable anthem, which is lifted from Savage’s recently released EP ‘Water & Garri.’

Lyrically, the track speaks affirmations into the hearts of those wronged in love; affirmations of a better tomorrow, and more specifically, affirmations of finding that ultimate love.

‘Sex and The City’ is being revived for a fresh chapter by way of the new HBO Max series ‘And Just Like That…’

As reported, the show will follow Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda(Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they graduate from the complicated layers of life, love, and friendship that defined their 30s to the even more complex reality of their 50s.

Now, HBO has confirmed when the Michael Patrick King production will premiere.
