After watching his official comeback single, ‘Bad Habits,’ peak and stall at the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 (then its follow-up, ‘Visiting Hours,’ later tapped out at #75), Ed Sheeran is looking to reclaim the tally’s #1 spot with ‘Shivers’ – the latest taste of new music from his October 29-due new studio album, ‘= (Equals).’

Tapping legendary music video director Dave Meyers to helm the ‘Shivers’ visual, the cinematic clip is chockfull of nods to classic animation, video games, superhero movies, and more.  Speaking on the song itself, Sheeran revealed:

“I wrote this as soon as the Divide tour ended in a rented farm in Suffolk where we had set up a studio for a couple of weeks to see what happened. It was written over the course of 3 days, which is very different for me, but I felt it was too special to get wrong. It was originally meant to be the first single, but I just didn’t see a world where Bad Habits existed if it didn’t come out in the summer. Shivers always felt more autumnal. I hope you like it, I bloody love it.”

Starring Anna Sophia Robb as its leading lady, hop inside to see if ‘Shivers’ lives up to the hype.

While many regard Aaliyah‘s sophomore album, ‘One in a Million,’ as her ‘magnum opus,’ its follow-up – 2001’s eponymous ‘Aaliyah’ – is revered as her most artistically daring and sonically progressive.

Birthing hits like ‘We Need a Resolution,’ ‘Rock the Boat,’ and ‘More Than a Woman,’ the 15-track cut (which celebrated its 20th anniversary in July) was a lyrical and sonic gumbo of Rock, Pop, R&B, Latin (‘Read Between the Lines’), and even Island-inspired sounds.

Released just a month before her untimely death, ‘Aaliyah: the Album’ has stood the test of time as fans and critics frequently reference it as a game-changer.  Now, after years of calls to be added to streaming and digital outlets, the project – like ‘Million’ before it (as we reported here) – has finally found a home on streaming outlets.

As Ari Lennox puts the finishing touches on her highly anticipated sophomore album, the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Shea Butter Baby,’ the R&B songstress is tiding fans over with what is believed to be the first single from the forthcoming project.

Aptly titled ‘Pressure,’ the song applies just that as it comes as the brainchild of three R&B songwriting heavyweights – Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Johntá Austin (collectively known as The Ocean Boys).  The trio – responsible for some of the biggest R&B hits of the last 20 years (see; Mary J. Blige, Usher, Mariah Carey, and more) – are looking to repeat their success with Lennox’s newest cut.

“Keep your eyes on me, eyes on me, apply that pressure / Give it, don’t be timid when you in it, apply that pressure / Love up on me, never lonely, I’m needin’ pressure,” she wails on the spicy track.

While its accompanying music video isn’t set to arrive until 11a EST on Friday (September 10), you can hear the song in full inside:
