Jesy Nelson is wasting no time pressing play on her solo endeavors.

The talented performer made headlines worldwide last December when she announced her departure from Little Mix after 9 years.

Setting sail on a new chapter, the 30-year-old has unwrapped a trailer for what appears to be her debut solo single.

As reported, there are murmurs that a major feature is set to appear on the track.

Much like many of secular music’s most respected vocalists (see: Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, etc.),  Mariah Carey has made no secret of her admiration of Gospel royals The Clark Sisters.

The feeling has long been noted as mutual as the sister act have expressed their apprecation of the Songbird Supreme, even tackling some of her most famous hits in tribute.

Dua Lipa and Elton John are heating things up on their new collaboration.

For, they have just announced the release of their new single ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix),’ which is due out August 13.

John has mentored Pnau, an Australian dance music trio consisting of Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore, for years.

As for Dua and Elton, the two previously joined forces in March for Elton’s annual Oscar viewing party. During their performance they performed ‘Bennie And The Jets’ as well as ‘Love Again’ from Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ album.

With the rave reviews rolling in for Jennifer Hudson‘s performance as music royal Aretha Franklin in the forthcoming biographical film, ‘Respect,’ it’s no wonder the ‘American Idol’ alum has biopic fever.

While blazing the promo trail in support of the Franklin film (due in theaters August 13), Hudson shocked many by revealing she’d also like to tackle the life story of media mogul Oprah Winfrey – a revelation she claims the talk show queen/actress isn’t aware of…yet.

However, before she begins tasking her production company – JHud Productions – with pulling off that tall task, the Academy and GRAMMY Award winner has all eyes on ‘Respect.’

And if anyone needed a reminder that Jennifer was the absolute best pick for the Queen of Soul role, it was served Tuesday morning (August 10) when the 39-year-old took to ‘Good Morning America’ to belt out a medley of legendary Aretha hits ‘Think,’ ‘Dr. Feelgood,’ and more.
