Jason Derulo has yet to lift any official news about a new studio album, the follow-up to 2015’s Billboard 200 top 5 hit ‘Everything is 4,’ but that hasn’t stopped the Miami dance machine from spinning out a steady flow of new music.

This year alone fans have been introduced to new cuts ‘When Love Sucks‘ (featuring Dido), ‘Slow Low,’ and ‘Glad U Came‘ – the latter of the trio even getting the official video treatment as announced Tuesday (June 27).

Jason Derulo stands at the forefront of artists making a splash on TikTok.

With over 40 million followers, the singer has made savvy use of the platform to assist the push of his music. Case in point ‘Savage Love,’ which the social site helped ignite to become the star’s first #1 in a decade.

Well, it looks like Derulo is readying another TikTok driven bop. And this time he’s teamed up with Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine.

Jason Derulo‘s ‘Savage Love’ proves itself to be the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks to explosive popularity on Tik Tok, the song became Derulo’s first Platinum-certified hit since 2017 and first Hot 100 top 10 hit since 2015 (as we reported here).

Now, thanks to a boost from the boys of BTS, the 31-year-old can boast tenancy in the tally’s top spot for the first time since 2009!

Welcome to 4th quarter!

We thought August 28 was the most jam-packed music release date of the year (due to many acts rushing to meet the GRAMMY eligibility deadline), but boy were we wrong!  October 2 brought it with a plethora of Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B gems to kick off the last quarter of 2020.

While the likes of BLACKPINK delivered their highly anticipated new LP ‘The Album’ (click here to stream), Bryson Tiller unveiled ‘Anniversary’ (click here to stream) – his first studio effort since 2017.  The project’s title acts as an ode to self of sorts as it arrived exactly 5 years after the premiere of his debut, ‘TrapSoul.’

Speaking of odes to self, Mariah Carey – just days after the release of her long-awaited memoir ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey’ – gave fans a peak inside her prized vault by unleashing a set of previously unreleased tunes in a compilation album titled ‘The Rarities’ (click here to stream).

Those projects will duke it out for the top spot on the Billboard 200, but the Hot 100 has the fiercest competition as it will not only contain gems from the previously mentioned LPs but also rival new songs from Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Derulo, and many more for top billing.

Doja Cat is on a roll!

Despite her breakout album, ‘Hot Pink,’ arriving on Billboard charts in 2019, the project’s content didn’t truly begin earning recognition until 2020. In the time since, her now signature hit – ‘Say So’ – soared to the top of the Hot 100 in May, Cat’s seen her name printed a-front three Platinum plaques from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The latest comes courtesy of ‘Say So’s follow-up, the Gucci Mane-assisted ‘Like That.’

She’s not the only one who’s been given news to celebrate from the organization, however.  Just ask Jason Derulo.

Given their history of cranking out top 40 hits (see: Jason Derulo‘s ‘Swalla’ and Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘Hot Girl Summer’), Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj have already proven they have the Midas touch.

Now, with new song ‘Expensive,’ they’re looking to prove it again.

“She’s so expensive, okay / Beemers or the Benzes, okay,” Ty sings on the track. “Lambo or the double R truck, yeah yeah / She gon’ let a superstar f**k.”

The song is assumed to be one of many gems set to line $ign’s forthcoming studio album, ‘Dream House’ (the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Beach House 3’).
