Da last couple of years have admittedly not been da best to embattled rapper DaBaby.

When not navigating legal obstacles for brawls and baby mama drama, the GRAMMY nominee (born Jonathan Kirk) was coping with the fallout of homophobic remarks he made at a music festival in summer 2021.

The impact of the negative press saw endorsement opportunities, concert ticket sales, and streams of his music tank – leaving the once top-selling emcee at the bottom of the charts for most of 2022.

Just when it seemed all was over for the North Carolina hitmaker, the path to redemption seemingly came via the Tik Tok-fueled embrace of his latest single, ‘Shake Sumn.’ So much so, the tune is shaking up charts and rising fast.
