A rousing round of applause is exactly what Gwen Stefani and Saweetie got after they unveiled their first joint live performance of ‘Slow Clap,’ the latest single from Gwen’s forthcoming studio album.

Fans of the No Doubt frontwoman know ‘Clap’ is no stranger to the live circuit as Stefani’s delivered a number of solo renditions of the upbeat cut.  On Tuesday (May 25), however, she joined forces with Saweetie at ‘The Voice’ finale to render the inaugural televised performance of its remix.

Saweetie‘s ascend has seen her land on the cover of W Magazine‘s new Music issue.

The 1960’s inspired shoot sees the femcee showcase her aesthetic versatility – stunning in a range of striking ensembles.

Beyond posing for the John Edmonds lensed snaps, the feature also sees the ‘Best Friend’ hitmaker address her break-up with Migos star Quavo.

As reported, the discourse surrounding the pair’s split exploded – first upon Saweetie’s inference that he cheated and then when a video of an elevator altercation (which left her on the floor) hit the net.

Gwen Stefani is pounding the promotional pavement in support of her current single ‘Slow Clap.’

Aiming to garner the uplifting anthem a fresh round of applause, the Pop performer has unwrapped a new video for the track.

Previously, she premiered a visual for the song’s Saweetie assisted version.

Now, she’s driving solo.

The colorful clip sees Stefani illuminate the track’s empowering lyrics alongside youngsters.

Little Mix is strutting on full steam to the release of their brand new single ‘Confetti.’

The bouncy bop is the title track from the group’s sixth studio album, yet for its single incarnation will feature  US rapper Saweetie. 

Longtime Little Mix collaborator MNEK, who co-produced the track, revealed that the refreshed version adds new production and adlibs from the ladies.

With fan excitement at fever-pitch, the Pop trio cranked it up a notch with a preview of what’s to come this Friday (April 30).

Over the quarantine blues, Saweetie is ready for her pretty girl summer.

For, the rising rap superstar has just unleashed her ‘Pretty Summer Playlist’ EP. The new project features  Drakeo the Ruler, Kendra Jae, Bbyafricka, and more.

Calling this a “new tradition,” Saweetie said in the caption of the project announcement that:

“Every summer I’m sharing my platform and dropping a fly a*s playlist featuring artists who are up next. This is season 1.”
