After serving tastes of its content via singles from Megan Thee Stallion & Normani, Doja Cat, and Saweetie & GALXARA, the latest lift from the lady-loaded soundtrack comes courtesy of R&B newcomer Summer Walker.

Layering her sensual vocals on the Barry White remake, ‘I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby,’ Walker sings:

“I’m gonna love you, love you, love you / Just a little more, baby / I’m gonna need you, need you, need you / Every day, yeah / I’m gonna want you, want you, want you / In every way, yeah,” she coos on the chorus.

Barry’s 1973 edition of the soulful tune soared to No. 1 on the R&B chart and No. 3 on Billboard’s Pop chart.  Listen inside and tell us if Walker’s rendition could mirror its predecessor’s success:

Having two Platinum hits before your debut album?  We’re sure that’s Saweetie‘s type of good news.

Not even two months after her introductory/underground hit, 2017’s ‘Icy,’ was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the 26-year-old’s greeted with reports her first charting effort – ‘My Type’ – has seen its title typed beside Platinum status as well.

Ashanti turned heads and dropped jaws when she hit a New York Fashion Week stage in a barely there outfit for the PrettyLittleThing x Saweetie runway show.

The Grammy-winner, on hand to promote her new single (a collaborative effort with the clothing brand that can be heard by clicking here), was among a number of big names showing off their performance prowess for the event.  In addition to Ashanti, up-and-coming Rap diva Saweetie (the night’s star) and boyfriend Quavo filled out a roster that also included Rap legend Lil Kim.

Migos nucleus Quavo has unleashed the cinematic video for new song ‘Workin Me.’

The track initially arrived last week as part of a trio of cuts the rapper released – presumably from a solo side project.

Self-directed, the visual sees Quavo dabble in a dangerous romance that has colossal consequences.

2024 continues to be a breakout year for rapstress GloRilla.

As if nabbing her biggest first-week single sales to date thanks to the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted ‘Wanna Be‘ wasn’t enough to boast, the Memphis native also laid claim to her first solo top 40 appearance on the Hot 100 with the viral ‘Yeah Glo.’

Not resting on the success of ‘Glo’ and its parent project, ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang,’ GloRilla has already carved a follow-up hit on the charts with another of the mixtape’s favorites – ‘TGIF.’

What’s more, the tune’s handsome opening on this week’s Hot 100 marks a historic milestone for the GRAMMY nominee.

…and the claws are out!

Quavo may have spent little time clapping back at Chris Brown with ‘Tender‘ after he caught wind of the R&B stageblazer’s diss in the song ‘Freak‘ (found aboard the deluxe edition of his history-making album ’11:11′), but there was nothing tender about Brown’s response to the former Migos frontman.

With a song titled ‘Weakest Link‘ dropped early Saturday morning (April 20), Chris dropped bars referencing everything from Qua’s infamous elevator fight with ex-girlfriend Saweetie to the rapper’s rumored relationship with Karrueche Tran and even the death of Takeoff.

“Put you to bed / Night, night, that’s Sudafed / Show me that I’m tender, b***h, time to prove what you just said / R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect / Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead,” he raps in the ferocious new tune.

With their domination of the 80’s drug game in their rearview, the season 3 return of STARZ breakout hit ‘BMF‘ sees Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory and Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory greeted with a new and unexpected set of challenges in the 90’s.

Expanding their illegal enterprise across the nation, the upgrade sees them not only battling familiar enemies in their home base of Detroit but also making rivals in Atlanta and beyond.

Beyond recurring stars Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Steve Harris, Kelly Hu, La La Anthony, and others, season 3 will welcome some big-named guest appearances from the likes of Lil Baby, Ne-Yo, 2 Chainz, Saweetie, and Cynthia Bailey.

Khia may be known for spitting some of Rap history’s raciest bars, but that doesn’t mean she enjoys being compared to other female rappers who have done the same.

Having made no secret of her distaste for some of the genre’s newer stars, the 46-year-old has slammed the likes of Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Latto, and others over the years for various reasons.

And while veterans like Lil Kim, Da Brat, Trina, and Nicki Minaj have long felt royal tongue lashings from the self-proclaimed Queen of the South’s criticisms across her streaming platforms, she recently added relative newcomers Sukihana and Sexyy Red to the list of recipients.

See what she said that has the ‘Hood Rats’ hitmakers’ fans in a tizzy.

Though Quavo‘s biggest successes to date have been attached to his former group Migos, his wins outside of the GRAMMY-nominated trio are nothing to shake a stick at.

As if topping the Rap charts by his lonesome with his 2018 solo debut, ‘Quavo Huncho,’ wasn’t enough to brag about, the rapper (born Quavious Keyate Marshall) repeated the feat last year with ‘Infinity Links‘ as one-half of the duo Unc & Phew (with late fellow former Migos member Takeoff).

In honor of Takeoff’s tragic death, Quavo used his second solo effort – ‘Rocket Power’ – as a healing mechanism.

“This album is for the Rocket, our true fans, and also, this is my therapy,” he wrote on social media. “This album is a true reflection of how I feel right now. Sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m down, sometimes I’m disappointed, sometimes I fall apart, but then I always find my strength again. I know everything might not be alright right now, but the Rocket showed me a way to make it right! Rocket Power keeps me going. Rocket Power gives me fuel. ‘Rocket Power’ will help us all overcome whatever we’re going through.”

Featuring the likes of Young Thug, Future, and Don Toliver among its high-profile guests, the 18-track affair also boasts production from big names like Atake, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, Mike Dean, and others.

Even before the tragic death of Takeoff in November, chart-topping Rap group Migos had already called it quits as member Offset embarked on a solo career while Take joined forces with Quavo to form Unc & Phew.

And while the duo’s debut album, ‘Only Built for Infinity Links,’ has garnered a solid commercial response on charts to date, longtime fans – undeterred by the Migos split – seem to still be holding on to the trio’s biggest hits.

Evidence of that came via a slew of recently updated certifications at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), a feat made possible thanks to impressive ongoing streams and digital sales of favorites from the group. Said figures were also given a boost due to supporters paying respects to Takeoff.

Look inside to see how the latest Gold and Platinum plaques attributed to the ‘Fight Night’ hitmakers see them knock Rap legends Beastie Boys and Outkast down a few notches in RIAA history books.
