Beyonce has joined millions the world over in paying tribute to the brave cancer patient Lyric Chanel, who has sadly died aged 13.

The youngster, who was a huge fan of the singer’s, had become a viral sensation as she shared her valiant two-year battle against brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma.

Despite mass removal surgery in November 2020, the tumor returned and tragically spread to other parts of her body two months later. A development that saw doctors establish that there was not much more they could do.

She passed away today (March 5).

In honor of Lyric, Beyonce has released an acapella medley dedicated to her luminous spirit. It fused songs such as ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ ‘Halo,’ and ‘Love On Top’ – which she personalized lyrically for Lyric.
